I f*cked up my tires because I hit a huge pothole that was pretty much impossible to miss. The potholes around here are terrible and they only get worse with the thaw-and-freeze weather.

Do you guys have really bad potholes near where you live?

Funny thing, right after I clicked on this thread, a preview of the news showed a car stuck in a giant pothole.

Yup...the road that leads to the mall had this huge pothole and I almost swerved into a ditch because of it. I think they filled it up though, I don't go from that road anymore.

The roads in Arkadelphia are pretty shitty, and the sad thing about that is that there's constant construction going on. They'll fix one thing and another problem crops up. I sometimes wonder if it's because the job market here is so crappy that they have to do half-assed work to ensure they'll keep having a job, but that's mean to say. =x

You have no idea how much road construction we have here. They fix roads that are just fine, too. But we have a ton of potholes, because of the snowplows. There are some roads that are really tore up that I try to avoid.

^ Do you live in Chicago or anywhere in Illinois? Because thats exactly how it is here. Every expressway always has construction, no matter what condition they're in. Its rediculous.

i have a problem with the curbs that were recently altered in my town. We got theses boulevards put in and you have to do a lot of winding and stuff and i hit the curb because i didnt notice it and it was covered in snow and i thought it was just a snow pile.

The roads around my house literally just got redone this spring and the other day i drove up the street and saw about 15 new pot holes on one road. I'm glad our taxes are being well spent. stubborn.gif

I live in downtown Indianapolis... you know, the place that has 60 degree weather then snows 5 inches the next day?

Yeah.

I blew my tire and popped off my hubcap last winter. It rolled a good 30 feet down the street, up the sidewalk, and into the grass. Here's the best part. My dad was just getting in from San Diego at the airport... he went from paradise to hell. He changed my tire/repaired my hubcap/helped my get air in the spare all during sleeting rain.

The night before, he was on a beach.

Nah, I'm just north of you, though.

My Sociology teacher told me his theory on road construction here. He said that they must have ordered too many orange barrels, so they say that they are doing construction and put them out on the road and then just keep moving them around, because there's hardly ever anyone out there working and when they are done it looks the same.

Well my sister-in-law blew her tire today on a giant pothole and pulled into a Speedway where there were 4 other cars that got a flat tire from the same giant pothole. I hate driving sad.gif

Oh man I'm happy. Like 1/10 of the potholes on a main street that I drive on were finally paved over. Thats only like 5, but thats a big accomplishment here ahah
