my parents always work on christmas eve and christmas day. my siblings and i celebrate with our friends' families and/or boyfriends' families.

my family has this tradition of not opening our gifts until new years. that's when we actually do celebrate as a family ;o

We celebrate christmas kinda the ukranian style, this was a lot for my grandpa but even though he has passed on we have kept the tradition. My mom cooks a big ukranian dinner then we go to the church service and then we get home and open presents biggrin.gif

I go to church then to my aunts house for dinner, and tomorrow morning my mom makes this huge breakfast that we eat after opening presents and then go to my other aunts house. Fun stuff.

Having a small dinner at home with my small family. All of my family is in Hong Kong anyway.

I was thinking about spending it with one of my friends but really, who is going anywhere in this weather? I have no idea how North Americans spend Christmas Eve because I always spend my Christmases in Hong Kong. shrug.gif

We're having an Italian feast at my Grandmother's house... Meatballs the size of your fist, secret sauce recipes - name all the stereotypes and viola... that's my Christmas Eve. XD.gif

I helped with the meatballs and made a cheesecake from scratch!

It's weird because at my house we celebrate Christmas today instead of on Christmas day. My brother, Dad, & I will go to my grandma's (my dad's mom) when he gets back from work because everyone from my Dad's side goes to my grandma's. Then after a few hours we'll come back home & have dinner with my Mom's side of the family. And we'll open presents at midnight.

My parents were going to have a karaoke partay with a bunch of their friends and their kids at my place, and my sister and I were going to escape to a movie (we don't want to babysit again).... but seeing as how there is a huge snowstorm right now, we'll probably all stay home. We may go out for dinner though.

The boxing gym is closed, so I'm going to go hiking and punch some trees as I try to get away from anything Christmas-related as much as possible.

Nah my immediate family is here. I meant my other relatives. Although I don't have many of those either. Yeah Christmas is not a big deal in our household.

My family and I always celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve. For some reason we have to be a stereotypical German-American family and celebrate today and rest tomorrow.

My brother's friends family came over, too. It's more of a get together, laugh, and have fun holiday than a "have to get together with family" and open gifts day.

* And then the family friends came over to my house, and their car is now stuck in the snow on my street and their bumper is completely scratched and cracked... all in the name of karaoke'ing in our basement. It's 2am, and they're still going at it. Good stuff.

watching 4 cars not being able to get up. Then watching 2 cars having to get towed because they couldnt get up.
My favourite part was when the mailman realized he was probably not going to be able to get through and ended up getting out and delivered the mail by hand. I guess the "nor sleet, nor hail, nor rain, nor snow" motto is kept to heart.
Though it was kinda awkward when my teacher had to leave her car on our driveway when she couldnt get up.
