So there's this guy I like. He's everything you could want in a guy, cute, funny, smart,...etc. He's really nice to me but not so nice to my friends. He's been acting a bit of a jerk this school year, last year he was perfect!!!! I really like him though. My friends say he's a jerk and I can go out with him if I want to, they won't mind but I also don't wanna go out with a guy who's such a jerk to some people...even though I really like him!!! What should I do?

sounds like crap, but sometimes people become mean to protect themselves. he'll grow out of it eventually. may be a few days or a few years. either way, approach him. tell him he hasn't been himself and that you're worried there's something wrong because his usual personality is missing. he may not tell you a thing but at least he'll know he has your trust.

I would ask him why he is acting that way to your friends. Also its never a good idea to go out with a guy who can be a jerk to your friends, it just makes things awkward.

Yeah...well he just keeps saying to people like my friend Nick that he only hangs around girls and he's making a big deal about it...my friends think that that's being a jerk, but I don't really agree.

okay, the situation seems to be like a lauren/heidi scenario.

the question is "WHO comes FIRST? Your friends or the guy you like?"

You can always ignore the situation and say "It doesn't matter what people say about us, all we need is love", but then your friends will start to think that you really don't appreciate them...

Maybe you should have a talk with your friends and your "guy" to see their point of views..

^I agree. He might be going through some family troubles that can be making him act that way. He might have a reason for changing because people don't change for no reason. Take time to talk to him and if u feel his reason is legit then it can bring you two closer.
