I don't eat those things unless it's an absolute must. But when you're out for a few days, they start looking like home-cooked food.

It can be pretty fun to barter and trade with MRE desserts, though. haha

they have some good and bad. I have 4 boxes from hurricane katrina and they came in handy for hurricane Ike.

Most do have taste but some don't that's what the small tobasco bottles are for.

In order to avoid extreme constipation or an extreme case of the 'shits,' it's important to eat, well, everything in the MRE; including the desserts.

^ Hahaha, I've always been told that one should avoid the peanut butter, due the "clogging pipes" effect it has.
