Is getting a Domain and Webhost from a different place.. Options

For me, I would prefer get my domain name from 3rd party (where I got full control) and hosting from separate providers.

I get my domains from 1and1, I havent had a complaint about their domain service and I tried out their hosting for like a week and couldnt stand the fact that it wasnt cpanel. So I host myself and buy their domains :] and I just replace dns settings

at 1and1 it goes for 8.99 a year but you get a 5.00 credit. which means the next purchase you make on 1and1 gets you 5 off.
godaddy is 9.99 but if you already have a domain and just want to do a transfer ex:] from 1and1 to godaddy, they only change 1.99, and 1and1 charges like 10 something

Hostmonster is 6 bucks a month and comes with a free domain. And then if you want you can buy another domain with them for 10 a yr and use the account you already have.

So if you buy one account every time you want another website its only 10 a yr.

And they have great support. And unlimited space and bandwith and emails.
