my friend needs some help....she is constantly hyper. she gets probably 2-3 hours of sleep a night and when she's awake she cant stop jumping around. after basketball practice when the rest of us are exhausted, she keeps on running and its pretty weird. its been getting on her nerves lately cuz she wants to sleep, so if anybody has any ideas on how to calm herself down before bed, im sure she would appreciate it. thanks!

its not like she is going to see the doctor 24/7 after that. I had to get tested when i was younger because my second grade teacher thought i had all these learning disabilities and such. I cant really remember what happened but it was painless and they just have you do some tests. No blood taking or cat scans if thats what she is worried about.

Sorry for being late, (not a doctor but my parents are) try cutting her off from caffine and sugar, see if it goes away.

I am going to vote ADHD. And Tomates's right, there isn't any scary tests or such to be nervous about. If anything they'll diagnose her and put her on some "chill pills," which should make things better for her. It won't change her personality, just help her to maintain and focus more.

I have a brother with both ADD and ADHD, it's manageable.
