Yeah, I can't remember what it was like before either.
Everything has been so crazy these past few months. The beginning of the year, even. But, even though the election is tomorrow, things are still going to be hectic. I just can't wait for it all to be OVER! |

And people are too afraid to say anything about voting for McCain. Now THAT'S sad. |

A lot of people that talked to about it said "Oh, I'll be glad when election day is over, because then I can stop hearing about all these politics", but, really, no matter who wins people are going to be talking.

I think the part that most people are anticipating is for the ads to stop. I can't turn on the tv without seeing an ad for Jim Martin, and I can't turn the channel without seeing one for Saxby Chambliss. Literally. (They're running for US senate) |

I don't want to go to school Wednesday, though. Because if McCain loses someone will be bitching and if Obama loses someone will be bitching QUOTE I can't turn on the tv without seeing an ad for Jim Martin, and I can't turn the channel without seeing one for Saxby Chambliss. 87% for Obama. Nice.
Yeah a survey done in Canada shows that 82% of Canadians would vote for Obama. I wish we could vote. how are you effected gigi? How am I not?! How is the rest of the world not?! The US is a superpower and every move you make affects everything else in this world. Not saying that other countries don't have the same power, but certainly not the the extent or magnitude as the US. It's imperative...absolutely imperative to have the right candidate win this race. f**k, the US President probably has more influence over Canada than f**king Stephen Harper does. |

what do you mean bias? like rigged? like statistically. it's an internet survey - it's gonna be bias no matter what since it's a voluntary response. people with strong opinions are gonna be the ones who vote (namely Obama supporters). so statistically, you aren't getting a good representation of the entire population - like the people who don't have a strong opinion either way (like me) aren't gonna vote on that site.... but those are the people that you WANT to answer because they're the people that make the difference in the margin of error. |

pretty much, considering republicans are typically rich old white guys. canvassing and such aren't really up their alley i guess :-p haha jk but not really, cause it's true. we see so much obama support cause they're typically the younger generation (like ecstatic 18 year olds who need to proclaim to the world that they're allowed to vote) edit: hasty generalizations, i know. but just my two cents |

well we know obama's support isn't just the younger generation because it would be impossible to get to this point with just young votes, obviously. so that made no sense.
besides that, i love how sarcastic people are about the fact people are actually excited to be involved. "young" people spend so much time caring about pointless bullshit, and then get hated on when they care about things that matter. being a good citizen...man, so overrated!!! i'd rather people be bragging about voting than bragging about their new cell phone or how drunk they got last weekend. |

How could that possibly make sense? cause voluntary response attracts people with strong opinions. it's like the radio asking people to phone in on a poll. if you have a strong support for a particular candidate, you're more likely to call the station in show of your support for that candidate. if you're undecided or apathetic, you're less likely to call the station. if you've ever listened to those call-ins, you pretty much always know if the caller's pro-obama or pro-mccain based on what the callers says (even if he/she claims to be neutral). there are hardly any true, neutral callers. same thing with internet polls. well we know obama's support isn't just the younger generation because it would be impossible to get to this point with just young votes, obviously. so that made no sense. yes, i do realize that obama's supporters aren't all the young people cause i do know a handful of mccain supporters, but i'm saying that typically the obama support you see are from the younger generation. seriously, which do you see more: 60 y/o obama supporter or a 20 y/o obama supporter? typically, the latter half. and i'm saying the latter half is causing all the frenzy that undermines the amount of mccain supporters. so i'm just looking at two sides is all. do i honestly think that mccain is gonna win? no, i'm actually betting on obama, but i just personally don't think he's gonna win by the landslide these polls indicate. |

That is so not true. My college is can be considered as one of the most liberal colleges in the nation, and yet I am surprised to see the number of students here who are voting for McCain. typically speaking, people lol. of course there's gonna be older Obama supporters and younger McCain supporters. i know they exist (heck i can even name some people for you); i am very aware of that. but you said that you are suprised to see a number of students voting for McCain, you didn't say that the majority of students are voting for McCain. so i'm led to think that although there are McCain supporters at your college, there are more Obama supporters? i think there's plenty of older people for obama, you just hear about younger ones more becuase younger people are more active...for obvious reasons ![]() these polls indicate world opinion, so obviously it's not gonna be that big of a landslide as the polls we're talking about indicate becuase the world can't vote ![]() i agree there are older supporters of obama, but i'm just saying the younger obama supporters are causing all the craze and that it causes some people to underestimate the amount of mccain supporters - that is all. ohhh right!... but why is it not such a landslide worldwide than it is nationally? legitimate question, not trying to prove a point or anything. |

ohhh right!... but why is it not such a landslide worldwide than it is nationally? legitimate question, not trying to prove a point or anything. the wording is confusing in this, i think you mean why is not as much of a landslide nationally than it is worldwide? probably becuase a lot of the world is more liberal than the u.s. to begin with. i think the world associates mccain with george bush even more than americans do...and they hate him. i duno, obama seems easier to work with and more likely to sit down with other leaders and talk logically? someone not from the U.S. come tell us why you prefer obama. |

i thought it would have more to do with each candidate's stance on foreign policy & international trade? just makes more sense since the world can benefit from international business. i'm not too familiar with that so i'm not actually sure of each candidate's positions...

eh, i guess. i really don't have that much sympathy for people who are well off and don't want to pay more when in the end they are still gonna have more than most people
![]() when i'm rich i don't think i'll mind paying more taxes than poorer people. |

ohhh right!... but why is it not such a landslide worldwide than it is nationally? legitimate question, not trying to prove a point or anything. Because there are no such thing as hicks that believe in Creationism in the rest of the world. No, but seriously, to the world, McCain = Bush. Bush = Biggest piece of pudding cups to ever happen to America. Therefore Obama wins. EDIT// WHO THE tiddly-winks CHANGED "PIECE OF S H I T" TO "PIECE OF PUDDING CUPS?"! |

Im not trying to act like that though at all. If its coming off that way i dont mean too, i really dont. Im just afraid that it could effect us i guess, and especially since michigan hass the worse economy right now. |

YES! Obama just won Ohio. I don't see how McCain can win now, mathematically he can but there's still a lot of states they haven't announces yet that's supposed to be Obama's states.
