it's crazy, this has been going on so long. i can't even remember what it was like before all this election stuff was everywhere all the time.

How am I not?! How is the rest of the world not?! The US is a superpower and every move you make affects everything else in this world. Not saying that other countries don't have the same power, but certainly not the the extent or magnitude as the US. It's imperative...absolutely imperative to have the right candidate win this race.

like statistically. it's an internet survey - it's gonna be bias no matter what since it's a voluntary response. people with strong opinions are gonna be the ones who vote (namely Obama supporters). so statistically, you aren't getting a good representation of the entire population - like the people who don't have a strong opinion either way (like me) aren't gonna vote on that site.... but those are the people that you WANT to answer because they're the people that make the difference in the margin of error.

cause voluntary response attracts people with strong opinions. it's like the radio asking people to phone in on a poll. if you have a strong support for a particular candidate, you're more likely to call the station in show of your support for that candidate. if you're undecided or apathetic, you're less likely to call the station. if you've ever listened to those call-ins, you pretty much always know if the caller's pro-obama or pro-mccain based on what the callers says (even if he/she claims to be neutral). there are hardly any true, neutral callers. same thing with internet polls.
