So this happened a couple of months ago.
I had a really bad heart burn one morning (right when i woke up), and it lasted for about a week. I only felt it when i breathed in and to prevent it from hurting..i took small breathes.
I took some rolaids but they didn't help at all. Anyways... it went away after a week. I've never had heartburn for that long before.

What do you think about it?

Are you on any medication for heartburn? About 3 years ago I just started getting heartburn and didn't know what it was. So I wasn't taking any medication RX or over the counter. It lasted for about a week or two, and it totally sucked. It felt horrible and at times I felt like I could hurl.

I would go to the doctors and have them check it out. It may not even be heartburn, and if it is they can prescribe you something that will help manage it. But even if you didn't want to take medication for it, it's easy to detect your body.

Drinking a lot of acidic liquids or spicy foods are big, so is grease. I don't allow myself to drink any soda before bed, because I'll just be up at 2 in the am looking for some milk or Pepto Bismol.

In short, go to the doctors, it'll only help you.
