My new piercing has funky crusty shit all over it and I can't stop picking at it even though I know it's baad.

What's something that you can't stop doing even though you know you should?

Yeah me too. On my eyebrows, if I didn't pick at it for like a week, it would get to be a bigger patch of skin and i could peel a centimeter sized piece of dried/dead skin off. Entertainment while in class.

The stuff that you get when you have your ears pierced usually helps relieve any itching, and if you use it everyday there wont be any crusty build-up.

Where is that piercing? Some piercings are weirder to pick at than others.

I paint my nails just so I can pick the paint off later, which is really bad for your nails I guess. When I get nervous or agitated I tend to rub my hands together. I don't think anything bad comes from that though...

Lol. I have a really weird habit.
At home, I like to roll my shirt up above my stomach and just walk around the house like that. Sometimes I rub it. It just feels more comfortable when I leave my belly hanging out there mellow.gif

i sea-salt soak several times a day and it doesn't help the build-up.

And my piercing = bar through my cartilage, aka industrial or scaffold piercing.

I kept grabbing my ear lobe at a job fair today. It was weird. I've never done that.

I pick at my skin a lot. I should probably stop doing that.

lol hydrogen peroxide's supposedly the worst thing you can put on a cartilage piercing.

One of the reason why claire's solution = bad.
