Personally, I think a good life is when you have all the emotions..
Being sad, being happy, being excited, being anxious, being nervous, being depressed, being neutral, being loved, loving others.. Somehow, I think that if you feel most of those emotions, you have a pretty good life. You need sadness.. then happyness usually comes around.. and that's good. Sometimes depression is good, too.. in a sense. You get a good time to really think about things.. I don't know, maybe I'm just crazy.. but I think you need to feel all sorts of emotions in order to have a good life.. |

my idea of a good life is one in which you can reflect upon and see that the good in your life outways the bad. to me a good life isn't perfect. its just normal in the way that when people look at it they think "not bad. she's doing good."

Obviously, everyone has they're own opinions on this.
And if you went really deep into it, it can get into religion. Like, God, Nirvana, Karma, Reincarnation, Hedonism... and all this other stuff that has to do with religion. So I guess it's somewhat depends on what you believe in. Saying something is "good" is usually an opinion... |

A good life is when you do what you want to do, enjoy what you want to do, and contribute to the society and make other lives better. It doesn`t mean you are spoiled or anything. Yes, Karma, Nirvana, Reincarnation... it depends on what you believe in. A good life has no exact definition. Some people believe LOVE is #1 on their list. Others believe FREEDOM is #1 on their list. people to lean on the satisfaction of helping others a small house with just enough room for you and the others in it going out to lunch every now and again with good friends and if i had unlimited resources i would buy some pretty sweet presents for my friends, this year i am thinking it will be goodybags with homemade food |

to be honest, what is our definition of good? Just like what's the definition of normal? Normal is only what we see everyone else look like. If someone doesn't look or act like everyone else, it's not normal. But technically that isn't right. I think a good life, is whatever you have, as long as you're breathing. There's always someone who is worse off than you..

personally I think having a good life is someone who has all of their needs fufilled. Food, water, shelter, clothing, friends and family. That is a good life. Now when you get to having nice things and money and all that, you've gota great life. So many people take the things we have for granted. I'm almost postive everyone on this forum has a good life, if not a great one.

"a good life"-- nothing too perfect because nothing can actually be perfect. a life with reasonable and not overly dramatic obstacles and possessing the ability to overcome them because of inner strength/will. oh, and a life that constantly becomes enriched with discovering the true value of an experience, memory, friend, family, etc.
BEING ABLE TO BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT YOU HAVE, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT IT ISN'T ALWAYS GOING TO BE GREAT. |

A good life is probably a life well-lived. For example, the person may have flaws and have "knots in the string", but still pretty much has it great. A life that never leads to sadness or a life that never leads to pure euphoria. Everything's easy come and easy go.

A good life, in my opinion, would depend on how you've been brought up, your background and whether you're happy or not.
I have friends who think my life is terrible because i'm not "rich" and i like to be alone. But i'm fine like that and i have my family. If you can accept your life and be happy with it... doesn't that make it good? |
