So, I quite possibly went to the shittiest dance ever last night.

We got there maybe 15 minutes after the dance started, and the whole dance floor consisted of girls. Ugly girls. Girls I wasn't even interested in introducing myself to. Girls that even lesbians would turn straight for. Girls that had buckteeth, frizzy hair, Birkenstocks and BACKPACKS.

So we sit it out for a bit until there were some more Y chromosomes present. When there were, the dance was as rowdy as an elementary school dance. Everything stood around in a little circle with their own friends and basically jumped up and down like retards. I had more fun at my f**king 8th grade mixer.

Random guys would try to join our circle of girls, but it was an EPIC FAIL. This one guy in a bear costume just stood next to us and basically planted his feet on the floor, moved his upper torso up and down and kept pawing his hands at the air. No expression on his face. Freaked me out considerably because the bear costume reminded me of the weird fellatio scene with the guys in costumes in The Shining.

What I realized at that dance is that, it's not nerdy Asian guys that put me off, rather, it's nerdy white guys that TOTALLY put me off. You know. The guys with shaggy hair, beards, vintage t-shirts and glasses and can't dance to save their lives. Something about them makes them ooze this awkwardness that is such a turn-off.

Not that nerdy Asian guys are off the hook. One of them, while dancing with my friend, took her by the wrist and started moving her arm up and down, like a f**king marionette/puppet. WHAT THE f**k ARE YOU DOING? Are you re-enacting Bye Bye Bye by N*Sync?

But what I thought was a lame, tame dance turned into something very creepy indeed. Some guy tried to hike up my shirt while dancing, but he kept trying to pull at my shorts, thinking that it was my shirt, presumably. Okay, so, if you're going to be a pervert, AT LEAST DO IT CORRECTLY. Lots of other groping happened, to me and my other friends. I said to myself many times:

"Stop it, don't touch me there, this is my personal square. R-A-P-E, Get your hands off of me!"

f**kin' perverts.

Last but not least, we had probably the worst DJ in existence. Hunched over his Mac laptop, he constantly would apologize with, "SORRY GUYS I SUCK!" Halfway through Disturbia (which was played at 3x the speed, so Rihanna sounded like a f**king chipmunk), the music would stop. We threw beer cans at him until he played the music again. What a f**king joke.

That was another essay, sorry.

Share your experiences at a bad party/dance.

At my sr ball, everyone would take pictures first before going onto the dance floor, but the way they set it up was horrible. We have a looot of people at my school, and thus picture taking/waiting in the longass line took AT LEAST 2 hrs, if not more, for just about everyone. Sr ball was only 4 hrs long...oh ya, our picture bg was horrendous too. IT'S SO UGLY. They used balloons and glitter. It's sr ball, not a jr high dance! ):

Our DJ was a joke too. I think he was trying to advertise songs, so he played all these mixes that nobody knew...and played the good ones while everyone was standing in line. We only had like, I think 5 slow songs played during the entire dance. During one of them, his equipment stopped working and he had to apologize to us over a mic (we booed him). He ended up playing some song in Spanish that no one knew to "make it up to us". Hah, what a joke.

I went to a rave and a LOT of people were there but no one was dancing. Me and my friends were the first ones out there and we had to literally pull people onto the dance floor. When people started to get on the dance floor they didn't dance, they like, swayed. Then a big group of people got into a circle and were like, taking turns dancing in the middle & some guy grabbed me and tried to raunchy dance with me only he was terrible and creepy. It was so lame, I ended up at a rock concert instead(& had a much better time).

The only bad thing about going to an all-boys' school christmas prom was that there were way too many girls but the few boys that were there brought their girlfriends. how lame.

aw. Poor gigi. I could probably have a better dance party in my room than that.

Well it isnt a dance that ive been to YET.
Though apparently this year for my homecoming the rumors are that their going to have the lights on the whole time and that you have to be 8 inches away from slowdancing with your parter and if you caught making out or something they will kick you out of the dance.
I mean its really f**king ridiculous becase they charge the dances way more than they need to be which if they do, do those rules then its not even worth the fun and im just extremely dissapointed by that because this homecoming i will actually have a date and to be about 8 inches away is like an arms length.
Also they are going to have random breath tests to make sure you werent drinking before hand.

So i know student council might be doing something to reverse it and they better or else a lot of people will be mad

I'm sure that rule won't even be an issue once you get there. The teaches can't get to everyone(assuming there will be lots of people). At my proms, the teachers didn't give a shit what we did. I actually booty danced with a couple of my teachers lol! One hilarious happening at my senior prom was my teachers dancing to soulja boy. It was one of the greatest/scariest thing I have ever seen.

Which dance was this, anyway? Not that masquerade one, right?
Never mind, just read your post in the other thread. Wow, who would've known the arts kids would be such shitty partiers? BUSINESS FTW!

Once, my mother chaperoned at Homecoming.
She was always looking for me, and became like best friends with one of my principals.
Every time I danced with someone she would come and stare them dowm
THEN THE BITCH HAD THE AUDACITY TO ASK IF I'D BEEN DRINKING JUS CUZ I FELL.
Frickin ruined the whole dance.

Don't feel bad about complaining about Frosh (because my Frosh f**kING ROCKED!). Safe to say that you had more fun at the day events (my Amazing Race was laaaame) and I had more fun at the night events (for...obvious reasons...HAHA).

Arts frAUSh = fail.

One of the creepy guys from that night added me on Facebook, which creeps me out even more because I never told him my name. And we don't even have any friends in common. And he's in freakin' AGROECOLOGY. Okay.

false. at my school, the teachers go INTO the crowd and pick people out that are grinding (which is pretty much everyone, so i really don't know how that works) & kick 'em out. we have a f**kin 'no grinding' rule. stubborn.gif do you really expect people to follow that rule?

so when people didn't follow that rule, we couldn't play rap at our dances. it ended up being all techno music, which just made people grind faster laugh.gif so then our dances mostly have rock songs now...

Aww, and I totally go for the nerdy white guys who can't dance. laugh.gif

I don't go to parties, though, so I can't really say that I have any bad stories to tell. Also, I can't dance, so that doesn't help. xD

Wow, I feel really lame now.

You know, I'm all for the nerdy white guys who are sort of dorky. Like, they clearly don't know how to dance but they still manage to have a good time - that's fine with me, and actually sort of cute. But DAMN, that night, the guys tried to look like they could dance when all they did was shuffle back and forth. It was just awkward.

You're probably better off not going to parties/dances though, if you have to be subjected to that kind of crappiness!

I went to four band camp dances. That's probably enough said right there. (To be fair, we did have some kids who could breakdance to offset the rest of us and our geeky whiteness.) I pretty much spent those sitting on the stairs mocking people, though, because that's what I do best (or taking refuge in the bathroom from shitty Jessica Simpson songs, I was good at that too).

Um, the frat parties I've been to would probably be considered good parties, but I don't like them. Getting trashed and dancing with fratties isn't really my idea of fun, typically.

LOL see, the whole awkward thing works when the guy is humble. But when he's awkward and completely tries to act like he's all that, then it's a total turn-off. Can't stand guys who brag and try to act cool when they aren't.

^ I got kicked out of a party on Thursday night because I didn't bring my ID. But, before you berate me, the organizers never specified an age limit, nor did they ask us to bring ID. So there goes $10 down the drain. Not to mention my dignity.

LOL band camp dances. No explanation necessary.

Yeah, I've always heard that the business kids always throw better parties. They work hard so they play harder.

Well, every year NYU has this dumbass beach themed dance called "Beach Ball," how clever! I went my freshman year (because it was a freshman event) and I went my junior year. The first time wasn't nearly as lame as the second time.

Carrie - WORD.

There were no Portias at the dance. Hell, I would've settled for Ellen because at least she would liven the HELL out of a party.

That sucks .. and it's not the nerdy asian guys .. it's the white guys who can't dance, lol .. i've seen lots of them . I've never seen an asian guy attempting to dance .

I specially like when they play reggeaton at school events, and the white guys struggle to keep up with the girls "boootay" .. and the move their arms side to side like they are a Tae-bo video .. hilarious .

Worst party i've been to .. hmm, the one where the Dj got shot before the party, and then we had no Dj or radio, since he was brining it ... it was funny, but I went all out for that party .
