Are you actually trying to make him look sinister, like the actual Joker? Because I would advise doing something with his eyebrows. He looks too genuinely happy.

I agree that the image is too happy to begin with. The Joker was smiley, but in a creepy way. That image is smiley in a happy way. If I had to pick one, I'd probably pick the third.

Try fiddling with the smudge tool on the eyebrows. That might help.
And I just wish that the edges were sharper, more defined. The blurryness is bugging me. And the third one is the best. And pretty much whatever Mike (Anarchy) said also goes for me. |

You look to happy, ahha. But, i like the third, &the fourth. The fourth looks a bit weird cause joker is like behind you, maybe if you horizontally flip your self, idk. but i like that last two forsure.

It helped. Try playing with the lighting and texture of it. Its too smooth and unrealistic.

The text at the bottom right of the picture is bothering me. Lol. i just notice things like that. I think playing around more with the brightness/contrast could make it better. Like make it look darker. Like the stuff around your eyes darker would be nice. It did get better though.

^ Honestly, IMO, that doesn't look grunge. Took much white. Grunge = dirty = blackness. Not that much white. =/
For the grunge look: -Create a new layer above the face - Set the colors (Foreground/Background) to default (Black/White) - Filter >> Render >> Clouds - Hit the layer to Multiply - Erase the parts that shouldn't have the clouded look, lower the opacity. Or you can use the Burn Tool directly on the face, but you have to be careful with this and not over do it. The Joker's face was really dirty in the movie. Especially around the mouth, lips, and jaw line. Maybe a combination of the clouds and burning would make it, ah, grungier. |
