Oh gosh, I remember the CS3 release like yesterday... is it me or is it a bit early?

Anyways, will you get it? Or are you going to stick with the CS3? Still using CS2? ;)

OMFG, it just came out! Wow, they seriously don't waste anytime.

By the time that I have enough money to buy the suite, i'm sure that CS4 will be out, so, maybe i'll get it. I do like CS3 though.

Since I'm still on CS, what do CS3 and above use for animations since image ready isn't a part of the package anymore? Or am I misunderstanding the situation?

photoshop itself does animation and also illustrator instead of imageready.

Ok, gotcha. So the utility is still there, it's just within PS itself instead of hopping over to imageready.

I'll probably stick to cs3, it was already the biggest pain in the ass to get on vista.

I don't think its that early, cs3 has been out for a while.

Unless there is something awesomely amazingly different about it I think I will stick with cs3, It hasn't even been a year since I went from photo shop 7 to cs3 anyway.

They're releasing new versions wayyyy too quickly.

Which is why I don't understand when people bitch and moan about not having their precious imageready.

Almost everything about imageready is IN photoshop except, of course, image-mapping, but image-mapping's the easiest thing to do in the world.

Cause why learn CS3 and then have CS4 come out and I can just continue learning it on CS4

it's not like you'd have to relearn a whole new program. but shrugs, just seems like a complete waste of the program you just started using. it doesn't seem like you'd need an upgrade if you don't even use what you have... unless you didn't pay actual money for that in the first place, then i guess that wouldn't matter.

If you watch the keynote, you'll know that CS4 is pretty useless for us amateur PS-ers.

It's still fun to fool around with it though. Besides some more functions that we'll never use, now we'll have "wicked fast" filters - makes me drool. And that incredibly detailed photo at hundreds of megapixels, CS4 worked with that so quickly. I'm excited!

Isn't it like $600 to upgrade, though? ohmy.gif

None of us can. I think almost all of us have illegal copies.

Anyway, didn't CS3 only come out like a year ago?

Wow. I just got CS3 a couple months ago.
I think I'm sticking to that though.

I know it'll be expensive. My CS3 was 1,000 -_-;;

Mine isn't illegal, lol.
But the money didn't come out of my pocket, ahaha.
I used illegal CS2.

CS3 extended was released on April 30th.

You can find many ways to get a leaked version of CS4.

Although, I think CS4 will be the same as CS3, just that StoneHenge will be more multi-tasking, and just the change of the logo itself. _unsure.gif

My only question is why the heck does Adobe not release anythingfor Linux?

Windows is fail, and the only reason I'm still on it is because of CS3! I suppose I could use Wine, but seriously... What do big projects like Adobe have against Linux, eh?
