Hm... I don't know if you're going to understand my way of explaining it, but I'll take a shot at it:
The grammatically correct way of using 'gonna' would be to include 'am'. 'Gonna' or 'going to' are words in future tense, so words like 'is' and 'am' (forms of 'be') are necessary. ex. He is gonna go to the store. If you were to change it to present tense, you take out the 'is' and change 'gonna' to 'goes'. ex. He goes to the store. |
