Indeed.

If it's like, a big chain store, then no. Otherwise, go for it. Worst they can do is say no.

^ Agreed.

There are some places that you can talk them down. But there are other places that you can't. Worst that could happen is that you could end up looking like an ass.

i don't think you could talk anything down in ikea, unless it's in the 'as is' section. i mean furniture there is cheap enough as it is, and it's a big chain.

if you go to a store like... bombay, then yes; my parents have done it ;x

as for thrift shops, flea markets, or garage sales... haggle all you want.

LOL. Damn us Vietnamese are so typical. loool.gif

My mom haggles furnitures at small furniture stores all the time. She's the best. I swear. She could haggle a $500 couch, and lower it down to as low as $275. She did that before. XD.gif Whenever I go to like Flea Markets, or family businesses to buy things, I bring my mom because she can haggle it. It's a shame she doesn't know English, or she could be a very good Saleswoman or cardealer haha.

my family haggles like crazy at china town. &swap meets and what not. lmfao. its funny. but we've never actually tried haggling furniture, since where we get our stuff, the price is usually set, and like, not haggle-able. lmfao
