so after a long internal debate ive decided to ask this girl out ive been friends with for over 2 years. i know she likes me ive just been kind of uninterested until now. one problem is i wont have a car for a month or two, but i dont want to wait until summer is over or circumstances change. what is the best way to get around this obstacle? >bike >call her for a ride >wait until other friends are hanging out all together to get a ride with them... etc

Rent a limo. They're not as expensive as you would think.

It rarely costs over $100. It's cheaper than buying a car.

ENTERPRISE! Hahaha, just kidding. Unless you really want to go that direction.. I think it's like $30/day though. Kinda expensive.

I laughed at the limo idea. Hahah that would be crazy rollin up in that.

I like the idea of maybe double dating. Have your other guy friend drive or something.

If it's possible, you could walk to a place nearby. Walking can be intimate if you want it to be. Not only that, but it's good exercise.

Thats a really good idea. When my boyfriend and I first started dating we used to go walking in the park. It was a really great way to talk and get to know each other (we only met about a month before dating). Maybe bring lunch and have a picnic?

If she's really interested, she won't mind about you not having a car. In fact, she may have suggestions herself. Ask her...since you're friends and all that. No need for shyness.

Otherwise, the walking idea is good if it is feasible.

I wouldn't suggest a double date for a first date, but you could always do that in order to have transportation.

Or, you could borrow a friend's car...

Eh, but I am just restating everyone's ideas.

If worse comes to worse, just meet up where you normally meet up (I'm assuming you still meet up even without your car) and make it a "date" by doing something special.

Who am I to give advice? I've never even been on a real date. blink.gif I think it's great you've built up a friendship before becoming interested... In the past, I made the mistake of instantly jumping into a relationship without dating or being friends first. So far, you're playing it smart. You go, man! Don't fret about not having a car for such a short time period.
