This is my first vector thing of a guitar. It's a custom Fender Stratocaster that one of my friends had built for himself. I don't have any pictures of the original because I don't take pictures of his shit, but this should be good enough.

I'll admit that I got a bit lazy toward the end and copy/pasted parts of the bridge and the and output jack, and copy/pasted the one knob I made. Some of the edges are a bit f**ked up beyond recognition, but It's late, and I'm tired.

Edit:
If you know about guitars, it's the saddles in the bridge I copy/pasted. Those are a bitch to make.

I improved on the majority of the edges, fixed the bridge pickup, and completely redid the output jack, so now all that was copy/paste is the saddles on the bridge.

Picture in OP.

Also, what would this be called? Was I right calling it a vector?

Hey, that's pretty spiffy! It really doesn't look as bad as you seem to think it does.

About the vector/vexel thing, it kind of depends on what program you made it in. Yes, Photoshop has vector output files, but Illustrator is, usually, 100% vector. Basically, if you can zoom in and things don't look pixelated, that means it's vector. If it is pixelated, that means it's bitmap, not vector.

And if it's half and half?

It'd probably be a vexel then. Because you copied/pasted, that pretty much made it "loose" the vector quality.

But, honestly, the term doesn't really matter these days so I really wouldn't worry about it. :)
