no double posting.

secret was pathetic. it was the dumbest love story and i felt no 'love'. kung fu dunk looks like it's not even worth a dolla.

i love jay chou's songs, but honestly, his movie's are mediocre.

I haven't watched Secret, but from what my sister and friends tell me, he's pretty freaking lame. I mean, there's a piece you play on the piano that brings you back in time, and the first person who sees you is the only person who can see you? Bullshit.

And I'm sorry, but Kung Fu Dunk was shit. Here's my full review:

QUOTE
Horrible. Dreadful. I can't even believe all of Flixster gave it 3 stars.

This has got to be the worst movie I have ever seen. The story was all over the place! Random facts kept popping up suddenly out of nowhere (and had no relevance to the rest of the movie), like: What? How the hell did the guy suddenly freeze to death? What? That guy had a girlfriend who died? What? That girl liked him? What? He had that necklace on all along? What THE HELL?! And okay, I'm sure most people watched this movie either because it's like Shaolin Soccer which got some pretty good reviews, or because Jay Chou's in it... but come on! Chou only used two of his limited expressions in this movie: cocky and confused.
... and the two looks were pretty much indistinguishable.

Jay Chou, stick to music.

(I started watching this movie for entertainment purposes, hoping to get a few good laughs... but no. I was just pissed off.)

I understood why the guy wouldn't go out with the girl.. it was the fact that all this random background information popped out of nowhere AND HAD PRETTY MUCH NOTHING TO DO WITH THE REST OF THE MOVIE!

Just thinking about Kung Fu Dunk puts me in a bad mood. xD

And I'm just wondering.... why are you typing in caps lock? I feel like you're yelling everything you're saying.

I was going to add that I liked Initial D the most out of the all movies he's starred it so far. xD

I really think he should just focus on his music. He's going downhill in that industry too... he's gone completely mainstream. He's lost his uniqueness.

If you compare Jay Chou's old stuff with the music he's been coming out with lately, you'll notice that he's lost the thing that distinguished himself from every other Taiwanese male artist. And pretty much all the songs on his last album sounded the same, maybe with the exception of 牛仔很忙. I mean, he still has a few GREAT songs in his albums, but I really miss the good old days when one album was filled with 10 great songs (like in Jay, Fantasy, Ye Hui Mei, and Common Jasmin Orange).

But hey, maybe it's just me.

I've only seen Secret, lol. It was a bit confusing and the plot was like.. :ick: I remember saying somewhere it was my favorite Asian movie because that was the only full-length one I watched at the time, rofl. The places where it was shot at was beautiful though.

I love his songs! I don't care if he mumbles.

True. I actually wanted to watch it because I heard Edison Chen was in it, then I found out Jay Chou was in it. I'm not a HxC Edison Chen fan or anything, but I did like some movies I've seen with him (Infernal Affairs). I didn't know Jay Chou acted until I heard about Initial D either.

Jay Chou had the laid back persona, so that's good. He didn't do much talking either, and I guess that was a good thing. He's cool though, but I haven't heard any of his recent songs.
