I do! I think it's why I get such a kick out of working retail. The times when people are like "Thank you SO much, you've been SO helpful" totally make up for the times when I get stuck talking to someone who's pissed off over something. Right now I work at a job where all I do is help people, haha. I answer the phone and help them with their computer problems - and no matter how obnoxious and difficult they are, when the problem is finally resolved I feel very rewarded. :3

Same goes for posting here in the resource center or helping someone with account problems, actually. The "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!" messages really make my day, rare as they can be. xD
Reason for edit: Editing out two occurrences of the word "totally". I'm such a loser. xD

You know, that's actually pretty funny because I think I feel even better about helping someone if I'm helping a person I'm competing with. I dunno why, it's silly. I did some one-on-one time with multiple flute players before concert band auditions last year and the thought that one of them might beat me didn't even bother me.

Yeah, I really do.

In fact, this past year, charity work has pretty much become a masssive part of my life, and I really love it. So much show that I'm really considering going to work for a charity in some kind of administrative capacity when I leave school.

Yeah, I do!
It gives me a good feeling that I can make someone else happy or make things easier for them. Makes me feel like a better person.

The only thing that annoys me is certain people who I know are very lazy and don't try...and they'll constantly ask me for help on something, when it's really more like "Hey, can you give me all the answers to this?"
Then I don't like helping. sweating.gif haha
But as a general thing, then yes.

Yes, as cliche as it sounds. It always makes me feel good inside to know that I'm doing something [not selfishly or with wrong intentions] good for someone else. :)

This year a girl in my grade that i dont know all too well lost her house to a fire. Not only that but it was literally a week before christmas.
So even though i didnt know her that well i gave her a few of my Hollister/Abercrombie shirts
they were still wearable for me, and i didnt have many
and a pair of pajama pants.

i am in KEYCLUB ;D

I AM CURRENTLY THE OFFICER!

MY CLUB MEMBERS LOVESSSS MEEEE AT THE ELECTION because i did the cheers, remix, and bunch of stuff. ;] i probably stand out because i was the most entertaining candidate with much talent, passion, and brave to show them what i'm about.

i also gained positive reviews from the current officers and they encourage me to run for it because i did well as a keyclubber who done so well in providing orders and services for others.

i lost my chance to be LTG because i didnt appeal to the public.

wow ... LOL. it cant be bad.

Save all your books. When the book drive arrives, donate all your books for hours. Majority of my hours comes from the book drive service. ;] (30 minutes per book)

book drive service is suppose to be a traditional event because it's one of our main seasonal services. I don't know if your club actually does that.

I have about roughly over 320 hours in 1 semester.

of course. that's minimum.

Maybe your club isn't as great as ours. We have ridiculously too much service. At the same time, we work really hard to motivate members for hours. We tried to find as many possible ways to get hours. Our club was the second best in our division.

We give them hours for everything they do ... even little services, writing articles, tutoring, school events, attendances, festivals, social gathering, district projects, community events, Kiwanis events, working with large/small companies, and a bunch of stuff.

currently, we're helping out at anime expo and olympic swimming event. we still have alot of services to do in the summer.

I guess our club is lucky because we live in Southern California, Los Angeles because our communities are really active. we're very open-minded ?

My school's around a relatively wealthy area, so 80% of the ish we can do is just stuff for old people.

i think the performances of your club really depends on your community. if your communities are active and provides many events, chances are better for keyclub to find service events to volunteer.

if your community isnt that great, of course, your club will suffer.

what's up with your community?

an addition to our club, california is very interactive so our services are better.

kind of like a volunteer club.

i was in key club, interact, leo club, and national honor society (but i never got enough hours and ended up forgetting to give them the $50 i earned in selling chocolate bars) and i logged in 600+ volunteer hours at the hospital back in high school.
