What face wash product do you use? Is toner necessary?

I use Clinique's Liquid Facial Soap. I like it, but I'm probably going to switch to something else after I finish the bottle. My skin tends to get oily, and this cleanser makes my skin feel really clean without drying it out. It might dry your skin out if you have very dry skin.

Toner is not necessary, I don't think. People say that you should use it because it tightens your pores after you cleanse your face, but in actuality, nothing changes the size of your pores, not toner, not any topical treatment, not steam or cool water. The size you're born with is the size you have forever.

But I still use toner. It's an extra step to ensure your skin is very clean. Also, I like to use toner and when it's slightly damp on the face, I apply moisturizer. Moisturizer is more readily and easily absorbed into the skin when the surface is slightly damp; I hate the feeling of dragging moisturizer across very dry skin.

Clean and Clear continuous acne control. something to that effect. It has 10% Benzoyl peroxide and really helps fight against acne. If you're not use to Benzoyl peroxide, I would only wash once a day. And I use regular moisturizer.

The only problem Im really having now is post acne marks. I made a thread earlier about me getting a haircut. I've had my hair long for a long time, and it's broken my skin out before bad. Now the marks won't go away, but my skin has made excellent improvement from where it was.

i use biore pore unclogging scrub. it's a gentle enough scrub that could be used daily, but strong enough to work better than many facial washes i've tried. i even like it better than clean and clear, and i used to really like that one.

afterwards, i use proactive toner and repairing lotion (for overnight), or oil free moisturizer + sunblock for daytime.

When I'm staying at my boyfriend's house, I use his Shiseido Deep Cleansing Foam from the Pureness line, since he uses that for his face (he has pretty bad acne but is currently on Accutane). It's really light and you only have to use a little bit, but it works really well. It does leave my face a little dryer, but that's because the Pureness line is dedicated to fighting acne. Or at least, that's what the Shiseido consultant said at Macy's, haha.
MSRP: $20

When I'm at home (lol which is once a week), I am trying to finish up my Aveeno Skin Brightening Scrub. There was a time where I used this constantly since I was at home more and it worked really well, since my face felt much fresher after I used it, compared to other products. The only thing is that it feels more rougher on my face, since it is a scrub. I have to use it more gently against my face, compared to my other cleansers
MSRP: $6

I also bought a Shiseido Gentle Cleansing Foam from The Skincare line, but I haven't used it yet. The Shiseido consultant at Macy's told me it would soften my skin more. My skin has been getting really dry lately unless I'm sweating in the sun, lol. I am still trying to finish my Aveeno face wash before I use this, so it's in the closet.
MSRP: $28

As for toner, since I am currently trying to clear up all my acne, I use Mary Kay Blemish Control Toner (Salicyclic Acid 2%, Formula 3) And honestly, I have to say that if I have a pimple, I would pop it if it's a whitehead AND I'd apply this toner twice a day, dabbing more on the spot. Since popping pimples tend to leave scars, I noticed that the toner has been helping FADE my scars! I live by this toner now, and it's pretty cheap. Eventually I'll have to switch to the Shiseido toner once I stop getting pimples in general.
MSRP: $13 each, but I got 2 for $14 because of a sale!

I use Usana face wash, toner, moisurizer, and sunblock. Exfoliator, once a week.
It's paraben-free and gentle on the skin.

I use Clean & Clear Oxygenating Fizzing Cleaner... I love how you can feel the bubbles as they pop on your face. But then I apply some Benzoyl Peroxide acne cream.

I use the Cosmedicine Medi-morphosis exfoliator from Sephora at least twice a week. It really helps to keep my skin feeling clean and looking clear.

I use anything Shiseido. It works amazingly on my skin, and it makes my skin glow. XD It's not too harsh, but it cleans your face nicely.
I like using the Benefiance creamy cleansing foam. They also have a brightening serum that adds glow to your skin, which I love also.

I used to use the Shiseido Pureness products. They worked well for my acne, but then I switched over to the Clinique 3-step System. They gave me the same results, but I was getting more product for the same price. I either buy the liquid facial soap or get the bar, either does the job. The liquid is easier to work with, though.

I follow up with the clarifying lotion (which isn't really lotion..) and it acts as a toner. Toner isn't that necessary, but it gets rid of the extra make-up and dirt that my cleanser leaves behind. After that, I put on my Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. (I don't use the lotion because I have oily skin.) I love the line because there's a formulation for everyone.

Once a week, I use the Shiseido Pureness peal-off mask. It makes my skin feel incredibly smooth. I don't think it's sold anymore, but I heard the one from Sephora works well, too.

Yay for skincare!

I use Biore Pore Unclogging scrub (I think someone else who's already posted does, too). I'm pretty lucky, because my skin is usually pretty clear. Besides a few that pop up around that time of the month. I like to use Clean & Clear lotion, though, because it isn't as intense of a moisturizer as other products. And throughout the day my skin can get oily if I put on regular face moisturizer.
