And about time too.
Weird, though, I totally just had a conversation with my friend about Obama being about to win the nomination, then log on here and discover that it has just happened. It depresses me slightly that my news comes from cB. |

Since I sliced off an A- in government this year. I got an A+ in AP Govt. and I didn't know much about politics while I was in that class, since I slept half the time. Oh yes, sleeping behind an open newspaper twice a week when we were supposed to be reading them in class for some busy work we had to do. Which brings me to another point - I am so out of touch with politics lately, and I'm a political science major. It depresses me slightly that my news comes from cB. lol as long as you are not dependent on cB to deliver the news. I was about to say, since there are times where people post things and then it's all bull. |

^ Double posting. Reported. I hope to God that he wins over McCain. Obama's retarded. I wouldn't be surprised if people disliked him as much as they dislike Bush, but were afraid to say anything for fear of being labeled as racists. My thoughts on the matter: Hilary knew she was going to lose the entire time. Why did she stay in (And continue to stay)? She's trying to hurt Obama's chance of grabbing the presidency. I'd say that it's very likely Obama will lose to McCain, and his recent appearance to the public (utter stupidity) isn't helping his chances of winning either. McCain is sitting back while they tear eachother apart. So why would Hilary try to make Obama lose and a republican win? She wants to be the Democratic nominee for the next election. McCain will be like 80 or so as an incumbent, and chances are he's not going to be very well liked. This will give Hilary a much much better chance of winning the presidency going against an old republican vs going against an incumbent democrat. |

Obama may be a great speaker, but if he's a dumb speaker (no matter how motivational his words may be), people will ridicule him and he will be critiqued ridiculously. He's been to what, 56 of the 58 states? Something like that. Also he saw dead people in the audience on memorial day. Cheers! |

Obama is a great speaker with no experience. McCain's going to beat him. Its a good thing, too. Are you stupid. How is McCain winning a good thing. Even if Obama might be a n00b, I rather have him over that racist prick McCain. He's anti-Asians, anti-blacks, and anti-gay. You should hear the shit he said at the Martin Luther King memorial, and at college campuses in UCLA. Dude is a f**ken racist prick. He's a damn white supremacist. |

To repost it. I loathe the last post of the page. That reminds me of what Trish used to do. "Just in case anyone missed it since my post was at the bottom of the page and I want everyone to read what I posted even though I just requoted a quote of myself from 3 pages ago" lul Since Obama has the lead, srsly, Hilary needs to back down. I don't have much to say because right now I have my head stuck in the clouds of International Relations, kthxbai. ![]() |

Hilary cries to get people to think she's got a soft side. Then when she gets back in the lead she gets as arrogant as ever.

McCain says ridiculous things too (god knows Hillary, too). I don't even agree with most of his views on an idealogical level, so I would still prefer that he not win the election. I cannot honestly see any reason to vote for him; most people I know who do favor him do so on the basis that he's a Republican and therefore fiscally conservative. However, he has actually admitted to knowing nothing about the economy. I think there is something to be said for freshness at this point in time, regardless of how tired people may be of hearing about hope. Better someone new and intelligent than someone who has long been a part of a dysfunctional system. I'm hardly going to delude myself into thinking that Obama's perfect, but I have a hell of a lot more faith in him than I do in McCain in his ability to take the country in a direction I'd find favorable.

I think no matter what, the president is going to be a figurehead with a tremendously low approval rating (only gonna last 4 years lawl). I think McCain would be smart to pick up Romney as his running mate and let him call all the economic decisions, even if it's not publicly known as Romney's decisions. I was sad when Romney dropped out. If McCain doesn't grab Romney, I'm voting independent. Don't care if it's a 'wasted vote', if enough people 'waste their vote', then people will begin to notice. Hello populist party. |

Its never a choice between the ideal president and that other guy. Its more of the lesser-of-three-evils. Well, two now.
For example, people hate Bush and blah blah. When it comes down to it, though: Bush or Kerry? |
