I saw this trailer at the movies last night and I have to admit that I'm tempted... I can really see it turning out to be a massive let down though. Most likely a future rental.

When I saw it, I immediately got it confused with the mist. I agree with James, that I may be disappointed, but I am going to risk it anyway.

Shaymalan's (sp?) movies have really been lacking. The plot sounds really familiar to other movies.

M. Night Shyamalan is a good director, though. Hmm...the trailer interested me and I'm kinda tempted to see it but I'd probably be too much of a sissy to.

Reminds me a bit of I am Legend.

It sounds pretty interesting, but not enough for me to go and see it.

I've always been a fan of M. Night

and seeing as this movie is about characters who can't help but to kill themselves, I'm all in.

Looks terrifying.

Movie looks pretty interesting, but I'm not sure if it's interesting enough to go see. Not really into the director's other movies, would be kind of a gamble to go see this one. Who knows though, maybe he makes a kick ass R rated movie.

This isn't your typical scary movie either...M. Night has a unique way to terrify its audience, not everyone gets it.

it sucked,,,, i figured the movie out before the theory in the movie was stated. thats all i was happy about, but the movie was stupid and mark wahlberg is stupid, science teacher my ass.

zooey deschanel's eyes were the best thing about the movie, they like enhanced her eyes in every scene and they were the bluest thing in the movie.

M. night shymlan however you spell it lives in his own world. 6th sense will be and always be his best movie.

M. Night needs to stop writing his own movies; he sucks at it.
Otherwise, this was a pretty decent flick. I enjoyed the urgency in the situation and was pleased with the sort of allegorical and cautionary tale - until, of course, I realized that the symboling was light and that a literal story was being told. It panders to the audience, it makes no sense (who cares?), and, worst of all - it tries to scientifically explain the premise of the film, which is unbelievably... unbelievable. M. Night, for supposedly enjoying "mystery" so much really sucks it all the f**k out of his films.

Mark Wahlberg was awesome. Zooey was strangely attractive and enjoyable (despite the fact that her performance equated to her widening her eyes and having her mouth agape). Way f**king better than The Sixth Sense (which is a shit kicker excuse for a film), not as shining as Unbreakable or The Village, but... cooler than Signs.

I was kinda disappointed. I expected something more from Shyamalan since he's made better movies in the past. sad.gif It was just a bunch of guts splashing everywhere. Eh, so what was the point of the movie? Global warming?

LUL! On Friday last week, my friends decided to watch The Happening instead of The Incredible Hulk with us! So yea, they said it sucked and had wished they watched The Incredible Hulk with us. AHAHHAHAH!

Yea I probably wouldn't watch this movie... The trailer doesn't look that great...

It actually did suck, I had to leave early from the movie because it was so bad, there were more laughs from the audience than screams.

If you didn't understand the message behind the movie, then of course it would have sucked. Very good movie, although a bit short.

I agree, but it was hard to really get the movie when there were people talking throughout the movie most of the time. I'll just have to buy the dvd when it comes out.

The "message" was pretty obvious and put right in our faces. Also, it was dumb. I don't need M. Night Shyamalan to tell me about the environment. Oh and Mark Wahlberg's acting was kinda off.

None of you are making me want to see this any less. M. Night is a pretty smart guy, he can make a genius movie if he wants to and for this HE DIDN'T WANT TO. Plus, didn't we all know the "twist" long before this shit came out? I know I did. It makes me LOL if some of you went into this movie expecting some scary alien invasion or something.

Ok, so I just saw this.

Why was the acting SO BAD? Seriously, it was dreadful! Worst I've seen in a long time. Also, why didn't it make ANY sense? Half the time I kept thinking Mark Wahlberg had been hit by the virus, simply because he stood their muttering nonsense about hypotheses.

Also, the basic premise confused me. I understand that the toxin turns off your instinct for self-preservation. Fine. But why does that make you ACTIVELY want to kill yourself right then and there? That makes NO SENSE.

I wouldn't say I hated it..but it's not one of my favorites, it's one of those movies which drove me insane because it was just so..predicatble, like August Rush. One of my friends got so freaked out, she said she thought it was even scarier than Saw. Wtf.

^ In all fairness, Saw isn't scary, so that's not really saying much.
