Haha, my friend has Calculus on Wednesday too, and some of my other friends have Statistics tomorrow (Tuesday).

AP US History - May 9th (I need to study this more! It's so hard to memorize so many events, names, and such)
AP English Language - May 14th

haha i took the stats test last year...and failed miserably because i already knew i wasn't going to pass so i didn't study one bit.

don't worry too much about us history! i passed and i didn't study that much, i'm not that smart or anythhing either, i'm not that like stereotypical asian girl who sits in class and sleeps all day & gets A on her tests or anything. honestly, i have average grades, but in high placed classes.

oh english, i passed that too!! it's like not too bad, just use your time wisely! i passed that & history with a 3. so it's not like i'm a genius. but if i can do, i'm sure you can too!

Taking both AP English exams was a huge waste of money. I passed both the tests (as well as IB), and it still only got me out of the first of the two freshman English classes.

I took almost the same exams as the OP last year, but AP psych instead of bio...and I had the foresight not to bother with the AP calc exam, because I knew I'd fail.

Really should have studied for some of those tests..

AP Calculus AB...Wednesday morning! That will be exciting. Not. I'm sort of screwed. I don't even care, though, I don't foresee myself even using the credit.

hmmmm all i have to say is, buy one of those review books that include like a bunch of topics so you get more for your money. but if you're mastering all of the subjects besides say..bio, get an ap review book for BIOLOGY!! like the 5 steps to a 5 one or the princeton review. those help!! and get out a timer and time yourself when you take the practice tests. that way you'll be ready!! good luck!!

collegeboard.com i think or is it .org? dont know, but anyway that site has some AP exams from last year and many years before it. you should look those up too! they'll help. they also provide answers. multiple choice tests and free response!

I'm taking AP U.S. History, and AP Calculus BC.
I'm sure I can pull a 5 for AB, but I'm guessing 2-3 for BC. I self-taught it, with some help from tutors.

I'm very, very worried. This BC score could refine my resume even more when it comes to college admissions. fallen.gif

^ My friends who took the test said it was hard today. =X Some of the stuff they knew, some they didn't. And they said it sucks because what they studied before the AP, wasn't on the test? Ack. That sucks.

APUSH is on friday, ack. And English language on wednesday.

aw you guys, APUSH is honestly not that bad. took it last year. you'll honestly do fine!

and AP CALC AB TODAY was like..........wow. i have the princeton review book for it and if i studied harder, i would've OWNED THAT SHIZZ UP...but i got lazy and was like whatevs, imma get a 2 anyway.

yeah oil slicks..........wow. i left that entire problem blank. didn't really have time. i spent so much time on the one before it. ugh. whatevs. doesn't even matter to me, i tested into Math 180 (Calculus 1) at the local community college so it doesn't really matter to me whether or not i pass the AP exam. credit, no credit, whatevs.

cry.gif

I so bombed the BC exam. My mind went blank for all the divergent and convergent problems.
I was okay with Taylor Polynomials, but the slope field problem was ridiculous and the Euler problem following that!
I spent too much time thinking about how to integrate an irrational function (I think that is what they're called), but I figured I had to use (uv) - (dndcsnajnc) du. UGH!
I never learned Legrange in my 2 weeks of learning BC material. Eck!

I'm expecting a 2-3 on BC, and AT LEAST a 4 on AB. fallen.gif

hmm..that's interesting. i thought that if you receive a score of a 2 on your BC exam, you automatically get credit for AB. this guy's mom accidentally signed him up for BC so he had to take it when he's in AB. haha hopefully he got at least a 2 on the BC exam!

Do you know what else was on the exam?
I'm doing AP Chinese through self-study, could you tell me.. around what topics I should study about. I pretty sure the reading, multiple choice, and writing is easy, but I'm just scared of the verbal. :/

that's exactly what I did, self study. writing/reading/listening was all easy, speaking isn't bad, don't worry. I just screwed up one of the questions because I'm stupid :D

EFF THE OIL SLICKS PROBLEM!!! i blanked out. i was so mad. if i thought about it for like a really long time and had a long time for it, i think i would've sorta gotten it. UGH that was ridiculous.

today was the AP English Literature exam, i passed last year's Language exam so this year, I didn't really care too much for the exam today. I kind of didn't really complete any essays. The Prose passage was seriously like..................................... what the .. what can you say about this!??!

next weeeek is biology & econ. those two tests..i'm really scared for!

^ Good luck on the rest!!

I actually thought the oil slick problem was pretty okay... but that's just me THINKING I did it the right way... xD

Overall, the Calculus AB exam was better than I expected! I did leave a few questions blank for the MC section, and full questions unanswered for the free response... meh. I'm just really hoping for a 3!

Darn, the APUSH exam begins in approx 8-9 hours.
I'm not ready! My goal's a 2. If I get lucky, 3.

edit: damn, the apush killed me. dbq was difficult and open responses were somewhat hard too.
i thought i was getting a 3, until friends and i were conferencing about the answers. i think i got a 2.

^ My friend got a 2 last year. =X He's still mad about it but o well.

ACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK.

THE APUSH was like WTF !?!?!?

The multiple choice, there was so many LITERACY stuff! Seriously, I can't remember who published those book or what a certain book influenced/encourages? Along with remembering what person did what. ehh.. What the heck.

The DBQ was alright, I bullshyted my way through with those documents. LOL.

The FRQ, oh what the hell. I just chose the ones that I sort of knew... Which both of them deals with the South. lol.

Me and my friends were talking afterwards, as well as my APUSH teacher, about the questions they asked. And ack, some of my teacher responses said you should've mentioned this and that but I didn't. Boo!

After the AP exam, it was 20 minutes before lunch and I didn't feel like going to 4th period. So, I just drove and went to Carls Jr. with a couple friends. I deserved in need for some food. lol.

But next week, we're going to have a discussion on these questions since it will be released on collegeboard within a week.

Ack, I wanted a 3. =O I bet I have a 2 or a 1. ='[ I studied a lot the day before too.

5th period apush:
"what are we doing today?"
"playing kickball."
"why?"
"do i have to punch you repeatedly in the face? i said we're playing kickball, so let's go."

my apush teacher is an intellectual bully.

I also bs'd my free responses for apush. was the cotton gin, sewing machine and reaper.. umm.. relevant to the problem about the market in the northeast and south?

i didn't know what outside information to pull out from the vietnam war time period.
that was the only war, i didn't know well.

average is 2.75 last year. hopefully i'll get somewhere there.

Yeah, the only thing I mentioned was the cotton gin. I didnt think of the sewing machine or reaper. lol. I couldn't figure out any other outside sources other than cotton. LOl.

well, i'm not even sure. i never even heard of the market revolution, but i took a guess and apparently lots of kids at my school said the same thing. I also talked about the railroads and how that added helped the revolution, railroad = greater demand of items.

i could be wrong though.

edit: i guess i was right on some parts:

AGH I TOOK THE AP BIO EXAM TOO.

I came pretty close to sticking my pencil into my jugular and ending it all then and there about halfway through. That first free response question? Gahhhh. I'll be lucky if I got any points at all on the written portion, actually. And the multiple-choice was so hard! On the practice test I managed to get threes and fours, but that test was so inconceivably hard. AAH.

The multiple choice wasnt so bad but the free response was confusing and they rushed us.

I did the same thing on the last part of section four, helix; I didn't exactly know what I was talking about, honestly. Flowers are not my forte. The middle two free response were alright for me, otherwise.

And I took Stats last week, too; I actually have to agree with you on the multiple-choice- it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. But the last two questions of the free-response were awful for me- I ran out of time, and wasn't entirely sure about what to do on the last one (which, naturally, is worth the most points- fantastic). But I suppose it could have gone a lot worse, especially when you have a teacher who has a weaker grasp of the subject than you do.

nope, but how'd music therapy go for you, ruth?

EFF AP BIO TO HELL. MOTHER EFFIN ISH!!! damn that free response and damn that multiple choice. didn't even get to finish in time. and the flowers part was probably the only part i might have gotten correct.

pollenation, insects carrying pollen and pollenating, that sort of deal.

BUT THE FIRST ONE WITH THE DARN ..ugh don't even remember it but i wanted to seriously kill myself. i was scoffing...at myself. too sad.

AP English Language is tomorrow. Ack..

It's going to get so tiring and hard. I always choose the wrong one in multiple choice when I'm positive it's right. I hate how a couple answers are correct but there is an exact answer. =X

I agree. The opinion question was so stupid. What other pros are there? Schools get money. That's about it.

what opinion questions?
i don't like the sources for con. it doesn't provide enough sources, it was an interesting issue.

i was actually standing on my firmest action of oppositions for con.

i swear, style analysis was so easy. but the hardest part for me is my control of my own writing. i dont have flashy abilities ;[

macro..and i wish i studied more because i would've gotten more right on the free response. :(

and environmental science has everything to do with it's name according to my friends. it's the environment and ecosystems. heard it was an easy class. you learn a bunch of things like the amount of unused printers left on in the world's resource of electricity could power the entire US for a year or something like that. don't quote me on that, but it was something similar and drastic.

You have to at least take 3 AP exams and score a 3 or higher on each to get one.
The more AP exams taken (scoring 3+), the certificate you receive will be a higher rank.

I believe you get them in September, sometime during the next year.

We only offered macro in high school. I was really good at it in the beginning of the semester, then stopped studying and got a 1 on the AP test. Got to college and took macroecon, and found that I was still terrible at it. I don't know why.

ap government for sure. i would not recommend ap english unless your teachers are nice & give you free points.

my A = 92% & up until they recently lowered it to 90%...and i still can't get an A. whatevs.

AP ENGLISH 4 = SUICIDE UNLESS YOU'RE AN ENGLISH MAJOR/GENIUS.

Is AP English 4 lit or language?

I passed both tests, and IB *shrug* I found them easier than any of the other AP's I took, which was a lot. I'm still bitter about most of them.

It's Lit, and I wouldn't call it suicide. I mean, I'm not too fond of English, but it wasn't that bad.

AP language is English IV, at least it was at my school. We're on block scheduling, so the first semester was English IV honors, and the second half was AP.

AP Language was alot easier than I expected... for some reason I enjoyed the penny essay. But AP Art History was a bitch! I totally bombed it. mellow.gif
