this sucks... my best friend came to me with this situation and i couldn't find what to say to her because i'm sort of going through the same thing... sort of... blink.gif

here's the scenario/situation:

an ex-crush/flame who you haven't seen or spoken to in a really long time, with whom things didn't end so well, decides all of a sudden that they want to be "friends" with you again. throughout the relationship or whatever things were pretty intense, but there was always something that went wrong and ended said relationship. now a loooong time later, here they come wanting to start things off again, but you're with someone. your old flame means a lot to you, but you love the person you're with. you seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place, what do you do? how/what do you say to your old flame? _unsure.gif

LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! OMG! This shit JUST happened to me!!!!

OK, here's my case: My EX boyfriend, Gabriel, whom I haven't spoken to for NINE months decides to contact me. He went to my dad's house, spoke to my sister and begged her to give me his number. He told her that he's 'changed' yadi yada. We ALWAYS had this 'thing' between us but long story short, it didn't work out. Anyhoo, I decided to hear what he had to say. HUGE MISTAKE. He wants to get back together, he 'loves' me, he needs me in his life, breaking up was a mistake bla bla. But I've been seeing another guy for 5 months and I am completely in love with him. I care for Gab but I will NEVER f**k up my relationship just for him! Hell no!

Like you said, it's old flame. Let it die. If you really care for your boyfriend, you'll stop talking to your ex. He's an ex for a reason and he isn't worth you screwing your relationship. Trust me. EXCEPT if you think he's the only one for you and you'll die without him. But I don't believe that's the case. Or is it?

yeah, that so true. it's sort like everytime he thinks i'm getting over him or that my life is good, he has to make me aware of the fact that he still exists.

& eeonz: you're so right. i'll be sure to tell my friend the same thing. i mean... why mess up something so good for a loser who never appreciated what he had, right?
