Well i hooked up with this really cute guy. Great bod, nice eyes, etc. i have a boyfriend already but we are in an open relationship. So I saw this really cute guy again today and yet again hooked up with him. As I was walking by to catch my ride I see him and but with some other girl. I don't know if he is going out with her since I hardly know the kid but I felt really jealous of that girl he was flirting with.

I don't know is it normal to feel that way? blink.gif

I guess its normal. I think girls get more attached when things like that happen than guys. I have a friend who hooked up with her ex boyfriend because she is still emotionally attached to him and it meant absolutely nothing to him. So yeah, I think its normal. Girls are just more emotional sometimes.

i agree. us girls just take things more to heart and attach a meaning to things more often than guys, especially when it comes to hook-ups. plus it's totally in our nature to be jealous if we think we have a right/claim over someone.

yeah, of course they do just most don't show it. it also depends on the guy and the type of person he is.

I guess it's normal...I believe that most females get attatched than guys because they don't always think with their hearts; it's more about what you can do for them and if you're giving them what they want without making them commit then they are not gonna worry about it

I think it's funny that you're feeling jealous of another girl when you and your boyfriend are in an open relationship and he'd probably feel the same way about this cute fellow you've fallen for.

Need to sort out what you want with your first relationship before you start bringing feelings into this hook up.

^ A relationship where they're still sort of technically together but allowed to explore other relationships. I think that it's a bad idea in general, since a lot of my friends went through open relationships the first semester of college or when they're boy/girlfriend went to college. It almost always ends up not working, since, if you're really, truly invested in a relationship, you wouldn't be able to stand the idea of your other half fooling around with other guys or girls.

About having feelings when you hook up with a guy.

I think it's normal, but the feelings you're experiencing are on a really superficial level. At the bottom of it is possessiveness and your instincts guarding what it thinks is your property. You don't know this guy, but since you've hooked up with him, you feel like you have a certain hold on him which ... you don't. It's physical and not very healthy.

I felt this a few times and realized that it's very irrational. It's stemmed for from a "he's mine, bitch, back off" and less of a "i really like him" feeling. It's also annoying seeing how a guy can be with you one second then be flirting with someone else the next.

The guys that I've known to hook up with random girls don't really bring feelings into it. They really don't get jealous unless they actually like the girl. I know a guy who hooked up with a girl a few times, but they were already friends, and it got to the point where he basically told her that it was all or nothing. They were either going to really be together or just stop hooking up. The problem was that she didn't like him in that way, so she basically refused, which left him open to hook up with other girls. Let's just say that, even though she decided not to be with him and to stop hooking up with him, she still got insanely jealous watching him with someone else.

here's a note, sometimes you need to take yourself out of the circle and think logically. you have to think out of it and see the big picture. that's one of the most problem dealing with emotional people who are so attached to their own emotions rather than their own common sense. emotions and logic are separate piece of mind.

...I think the bigger question is why are you even in an open relationship? Obviously, you have feelings for another person, so why not let go of your other relationship?
