Cuz it's always nice to help people. Specially since he mentioned that he needed help with school work. Nothin wrong with givin him the email address. But if his intentions aren't true, then it's up to the girl to just put his ass on the black list lol

you said lets say he needed help with school stuff so he uses that as an excuse to get your email and or number. I said I'd give one of my emails because I have so many but I would give him the 2nd most general email I have & not my number because I don't give that out unless I know people for a while

Tung you ask questions with scenarios and never tell us the definite intentions in the scenario. Its all about the intention behind things.

I might give him my e-mail, if he goes to school with me. Obviously, if some random person whom I've never seen asked me for either I would say no.

i have a school email that i freely give out. i also freely give away aim 'cause it's just that easy to block somebody if it gets to that point. as for phone numbers, i usually wait until we've built some kind of bond. if someone happens to ask for my number without us having that bond (for example, a classmate that i don't really talk to), i still wouldn't mind giving away my number, only because usually i do develop a bond with that person, or we end up forgetting about each other (which means the person would never call, and thus i wouldn't have to worry about it).

then you also have the occasional crazy stalker/friend. in which case, i'd just ignore calls ;o.

for online people, i'm pretty hesitant.

I would give him my email too, if it was school related. My number is a bit too personal to give out from initial contact with each other. Maybe if I got to know him a bit more, then I'd finally give him my number, when I feel like I can trust him.

Why not number? You can always block it, or change your number if he's absolutely insane.

^ Agreed. I usually just give school ppl my number so we can cut the crap and just get the info we need from each other.

I'd probably reject the request if they weren't cute. I'm not too fond of study groups in general, so that excuse wouldn't work ... unless they're cute </shallow>

It depends on the guy... If I barely know him and he's giving me the weirdo vibes I'd probably just give my e-mail out. Then if I don't like him anymore I can just block him.
