Ok, so I saw it in Chelsea Friday, and I must say that it is an amazing movie. Now anybody that knows me, knows that I am scared of scary movies and stuff, but I really enjoyed this one. I have to go back and watch it again though, because I turned my head during the scary parts in this one. It is short and very much to the point.

On a side note, for anybody that lives near the city, Chelsea has a good movie theater on 23rd btwn 7th and 8th. The A and C let you off right outside of it.

I was suppose to watch this on Saturday but my friend bailed out on me for his personal hair care. How retarded is that.

I'll be watching it sometime this weekend. I'm stoked for it.

Although, I hate watching scary movies because it's freaky and all, but I end up watching it anyway. =X

I don't want to give it away, but the obvious is not so obvious with this movie, which is crazy. There is this one chick Amy in the movie, you will want to kill her because she is so dumb LMAO!

yes, that was definitely the descent, which had one of the goriest scenes that i had to seriously look down for a minute.

i thought it would be exactly like the descent when i first saw the previews, but after they started showing more and more of the storyline, i started getting interested..and now i'm REALLY wanting to see it, especially after hearing some really good reviews about it.

There's been quite some hype about this film. Lately, I've been iffy about horror/suspense films, because they're typically the same thing over and over again, but after hearing everything I've heard about this movie I kinda wanna see it.

I got confused with The Descent and The Cave. I have yet to see Descent but the Cave one was ok, imo. My friend and I were talking about the Descent, and i was like, "wait, are they the same movie?" They`re not, it`s just weird how similar I thought they were XD.gif

But anyway, I really want to watch this movie. _smile.gif

everyone kept telling me how good this movie was, and i got a little curious so i went online and read the full plot summaries. it kinda dumbed down my curiosity. i guess some people could say it's creative, but it's not something that would scare me, thus i decided not to see it in theatres. it's probably rent-worthy.

I mean, there really aren't any special effects or anything like that. It is just an in your face movie that is to the point and skips all the bull and what not.

On a side note, has anyone ever scene Duel by Spielberg? That movie scares the shit out of me to this day.

Saw it last weekend. I was pretty stoked to watch it, thought it'd be about some super scary/horrible curse you get. But by the end of the it I realized...It's a movie about plants. stubborn.gif Wtf.

& I didn't like the ending. Overall, 6.5/10

lmao, that was my reaction at first, too. i didn`t happen to enjoy the ending either, but i think what really made me enjoy the movie was how it was completely not really about plants or curses but about escaping. almost like a survival of the fittest thing. at least for me it was. shrug.gif

How about how Amy constantly was f**king shit up. When she snapped that shot and they killed the guy, I yelled out your a dumb bitch. Then when she tried to run down the stairs that one time, my friend and I yelled out: I'm over Amy.

The end was gay, but they have to do a second part, if anything, because of the greeks just ariving.

^ It wasn't basically the snap shot. It just lead to the action.

She moved back and was already standing at the plants (and I guess villagers knew it was some curse or whatever), and she took a snap shot. Leading those 3 guys to look towards her because she stepped on the plants and before, the 3 guys was talking to the guys. Since they were aiming for her due to the touching of the vines, the guy came to her to get the camera and he also stepped onto the vines. As he tries to get closer to the 3 guys believing that the trios wanted the camera, they shot him since he was getting closer and had touched the vines.

I realized that when later, she threw a vine bush at the boy, and the boy was hit by the vine. And the chief shot him, poor kid. So it kind of made sense why the trios shot the guy since he was getting closer to them and had already touched the vines.

I put it in spoiler mode just in case. lol.

^wow, i had to read that twice. laugh.gif BUT NOW I GET IT. that makes sense. at first when she threw the vine at the boy i was like, woah. but the whole camera incident makes sense now.

&& they better make another one.

Another thing that really creeped me out was how those people just stood there the whole time waiting.

sorry to bring this back, but i just rented it and saw it a couple of hours ago.

i didn't think it was all that great, but it definitely creeped me out at some parts-like when stacy was cutting herself to get the vines out. the thing that slightly irritated me was that i personally thought the title of the movie was misleading. but i guess if they titled it "killer plants" or something, that wouldn't work either =)

also, i just didn't fully understand why the natives didn't just kill them all in the first place. obviously, there wouldn't really be a movie, but i think they could have saved themselves some trouble because they knew the tourists were eventually going to die anyway. i went to imdb.com and some people thought that the natives didn't kill them was because they weren't really murderers and that the vines needed "fresh" blood.

but anyways, overall, i was extremely impressed with laura ramsey's performance. i thought she did a great job!
