my name is teesa and i, also, used to be a fontaholic. like melie, my computer crashed a while ago which had most of my fonts, so i'm slowly downloading them back again.

i used to be obsessed with all of the pixel fonts, like 04b_03, redensek, and silkscreen. but i think my ultimate favorite is all the types of kravitz.

I am a fontaholic. I went "font shopping" yesterday and still have to install these on my computer

Smalltypewriting Medium
Raspoutine
VTKS Estilosa
Phaisarn
Jackinput
Apple Garamond
Daisy Script
Gauntlet

I have a thing for sans-serif fonts.

my name is Ariel and I am kind of a fontaholic...in a sense lol.

I can go for months without downloading new fonts but then I'll hit a day and then my whole desktop is filled with font folders that needs to be unzipped.

My favorite ones would be the elegant types.

I just can't stop when that happens >.>

I spent about an hour yesterday, looking through fonts. I forgot which ones I downloaded, but I usually install them on my computer as soon as they finish downloading onto the hard drive. _smile.gif

Aww Rebecca. <33

I used to download fonts all the time, but now it seems like I'm too lazy until I absolutely need them.

Usually when I'm in the process of making a layout I realize that I have no interesting fonts, so then I go ahead and look for one. Doing this, I usually end up with one or two new ones. xD

Oh I use to love looking up fonts and downloading and unzipping and everything. I guess after a while I found something else to do and now I waste my time doing that xD

I do have to say whenever I make something new I always go on the quest for a new font though, or when I go to a website or something and I'm just like "AHH I NEED THAT FONT!" xD

k i don't see why you'd have to get so mad about this. it's just a topic. i told you i edited it & then you change it back. if you would have asked if it was okay to make it long again but in a way that it didn't stretch the boards, i would have been okay with that.

@manny - stop being a hypocrite, telling her "it's just a topic title". if it's just that, then why care so much to edit her title. leave it the f**k alone, if she wants it left alone. don't you got some stuff to do in the queue.

I love News Gothic MT. I don't know why. I like Verdana when it's 8 pt or smaller. I generally like Arial because it's an easy to read, no-fuss font.

Comic Sans has its own situations where it can be used, appropriately. However, whenever I see that font nowadays, I'm just reminded of my high school math notes. What is it with high school math teachers and Comic Sans? I think they like to try to add some fun to an otherwise emotionless subject.

Personally I love arial, and usually don't ever use anything else, too lazy to look at other fonts.

I remember using comic sans for an english paper back in junior high. Oh, and double spacing with it also.

Hi, to be perfectly frank, I don't need permission to edit MY OWN TOPIC TITLE, regardless of length, and had you looked at it on the board index after I had edited it back, you would have seen that it didn't stretch the page, as I had James (The-March-Hare) look over it for me and help me out, being as how it didn't stretch the boards on my resolution the first time either. And also, me? Mad? Over this? Ha. Get over yourself, and again, get over it.

Basic fonts, I love georgia and arial, it has to be set just right though.

I hate cosmic sans, I remember taking a computer class in high school and that's the only font she ever used. Annoyed the hell out of me and I would get a head ache having to read the ugly font >_>

lols at least you didn't get warned for editing back your topic title. XD Not that it has happened before, but it would have been funny.

I dislike script fonts in general. If i had to use a scripty font, it'd be Mistral, but probably because it's always my fall-back script-plan font.

I like Arial; I use it all the time. I just found Nyala (i think that's how it's spelled), too, and I really like it.

least fave font is scriptina . hands down.

I don't know that I hate scriptina itself, I'm just sick of seeing it. Of course, I don't see it all the much anymore but for a while it was just everywhere.

I used to use Black boys on mopeds a lot. joeHand as well.

For something simple, I prefer sans types of fonts (comic sans excluded. I truly dislike that one, always have). I think that Expressway is clean, has some meat to it without being too blocky and easy to read.

When it was first used and wasn't so freaking popular, Scriptina was quite pretty, I thought. And then everyone and their mother started using it, and Scriptina started showing up on clothing labels, perfume bottles, you name it...and I just started hating the font. It's gross.

Hmmn.... for coding layouts, Times New roman is good at about 18 or more pixels. It looks even better when spaced about 4 px. I like arial at about 8px.

For designing layout and images, I like using Ibleum, Violation, Black Jack, Lainie Day, and Dear Joe. I used to like Scriptina a lot but it's been getting a little over used... but I still like using it for first letters because it fits nicely with other fonts.

Agreed, that's pretty much how it happened with me. Overexposure to anything makes it lose its appeal, I guess. Although I tend to have a higher tolerance level for repetition than most people. xD

I tend to lean towards Tahoma and Georgia, sometimes Verdana. I hate how different operating systems (PC/Mac) display fonts differently, though. I always think fonts look beautiful on my macbook and then look at the website on a PC and all of a sudden it's all pixely and choppy looking. :<

P.S. what happened to the topic Rebs made that was like this? O_o

eh. i like lots, but mostly really simple, typewriter ones for stories, a fun, simple type for myspace, and a small one for websites.

i don't like most of the 'Pea' ones. like, Pea Carrie, Pea Elizabeth, etc. they come in a pack on Dafont of about 100 different script fonts, and i downloaded them a while ago and they rule over my font's section now :[

Favorite fonts? Least favorites? Styles? Etc. etc. etc.

I particularly like Arial and Georgia, and Times (at certain spacings). Also, as of late, I've been liking Hannibal Lecter.

Least favorites of course would be the overused ones--Comic Sans, Scriptina,.. I've been seeing Matisse ITC on signs around town lately, and that bugs me a lot. D:

Edit NO.

for my divs i like to go with arial or tahoma for the div boxes

and for the banners i like to use script like jey or jane austen

for funky type layout banners cocaine sans or got heroin
are good fonts to be used. =).. Old London on the other hand
is a nice font for headers like about me's and such. =)

but when it comes to banners a nice font
in my eyes would be Jellyka Castle's Queen

For formal assignments and school papers, I prefer Times New Roman. Come to think of it, I don't feel comfortable using any other font. Strange, eh?

My favorite, however, is Georgia. I also favor Arial and Verdana, although primarily at smaller sizes.

Comic Sans never fails to remind me of my 8th grade science teacher.

Georgia is probably my favorite font, standard or decorative. I don't know what it is, but I just love it. Other favorites would probably be Jane Austen, Teaspoon, and Complete in Him. I love those.

Sweet; thanks for the link. Plumero is a pretty eccentric font.

Hooray for Georgia lovers!

Lady here uses comic sans all the time in her emails. I think that it looks so unprofessional.

Oh and font topics merged.

I don't download new fonts often but ever since I changed my laptop and losing all the installed fonts on my old one, things don't feel the same.

Fontaholics are also characterised by their superb skill in identifying fonts and remembering the complete names for each of them. : P

^ worthy.gif So you actually purchase fonts? Cool!

I really need to go on a font-downloading spree and get back my fav fonts on this laptop.

Can't be bothered to look through the list of fonts on my old laptop to and fish out those ones I installed. I guess if I need them again I can still be able to find them online. mellow.gif

I have tons of fonts; some freeware, some not. I probably have about 1500 but they're not all installed. Many I will never use on a regular basis so when I need one, I will install and then uninstall. Otherwise, it takes too long to load.

Some of my current favorites.

Adobe Caslon Pro
Adobe Garamond
Am Typewriter
Avant Que
Bickham Script
Cocktail Shaker
Coopa Blacka
Daniel Script
Donatora
Franklin Gothic
