And really, any bug with a lot of legs freaks me out. There was this massive bug with like a million legs (not a centipede) and It was above my bed at like 12:30 AM and I woke my brother up to kill it.

OMG! i saw a black widow in my tent THIS weekend at camp... Jesus Christ!! It was huge!! damn i was sooo scared that i had to bug spray the entire tent and wrap myself in my sleeping bag. i had one of my friends kill that BEAST. DIE!!!!!

acrophobia, but i love rollercoasters? when i was four, my babysitter accidently dropped me from a tree.. maybe that triggered my fear of heights.

Everytime I try to get near boiling water or cook with it, I get the same reaction with my heart, but l start to get a little dizzy as well. It's not safe .. that fear must've come from when I was younger, my ma dumped a pan of boiling water from the stove on my arm.

And when it comes to heights ... well, that's just hell for me. I mean .. wow.

Nevertheless, the whole fear aspect really annoys me.

i can't stand heights. at this water park, there was this really huge slide, so i climbed way up and was kind of fine, until i looked down. my legs started shaking, and i felt weak in my arms and stuff. we went up only to find that the electricity had been shut off, so we had to climb back down. my cousin slipped on the stairs and ended up with a huge bruise on her arse. luckily, i didn't sliip, or i might have screamed my head off...

Fess up, we all have our fears =] Whether it be an irrational fear, aka phobias (kathisophobia? medorthophobia? ), or just fear of losing others. I actually had a xanga post about this..

So, I was thinking about this. What do YOU fear? I fear whales. In all seriousness, I do. I had a dream once, that I was in a HUGE swimming pool, and I was holding on to one of the walls while in the water. All of a sudden, a large shadow loomed beneath me. I knew it was a whale and I was scared as hell. I awoke terrified and feeling achingly empty.

Of course, 'whales' is basically just a tangible representation for my fears of the unknown, as well as being alone. It was the same apprehension felt when lost or alone. Bereft of all feelings and stripped of all emotions, leaving you that uncomfortable void. And then there was fear too. Fear of the unknown.

As for intangible fears. I think I have the same fears as most people... rejection, loneliness, failure... My greatest fear of all is that my parents will never be 100% proud of me. I'm afraid that I will always continue to disappoint them no matter how hard I try or how many accomplishments I make.

Sometimes I fear that I am destined to be alone. I guess my insecurities get the best of me and I fear that people will see all the bad things in me and leave. I strive to be perfect in everything in hopes that I will be accepted among everyone... I'm aware that this is silly considering that no one could possibly be perfect. But I've lost so many important people in my life plus, so many people I've encountered have disliked me for no apparent reason. So I try to be perfect in hopes that this trend doesn't continue for the rest of my life. I put a lot of pressure on myself to be good at everything I do, and I guess part of that comes from my parents. But I'm reaching the point where I'm exhausted, and I feel like I shouldn't have to work so hard to gain everyone's approval. Especially when I'm so nice to everyone I know.

Things that are felt would be lonliness (like every other person in the world), and no appreciation. I am appreciation hungered. i'm scared of insects too. i think the phobia for insects are either Acarophobia, Entomophobia, or Insectophobia. i don't know why they have so many different names for it. anyways, i have Acrophobia (fear of heights) and Arachnophobia (fear of spiders) too.

Yes, I'm kind of ashamed to admit that a lot of what I do is for acceptance but I guess I don't mind sharing that with you guys.

I do care about the opinions of those I trust the most. Unfortunately, the few people I do trust (i.e. my family and my boyfriend), I'm worried that they don't carry the best opinion of me either. My parents are kind of two ways, at times they're very proud of me, but due to certain mistakes I've made in the past that I can't take back, sometimes they turn on me and make me feel like it's too late. Like no matter what I do or how hard I try, it's never quite good enough for them, especially since I've screwed up so much in the past. As for my boyfriend, its a long story, but lets just say that he rejected me many times before we actually became a couple. He wasn't that good a friend either, and wasn't there for me when I needed him most. He used to treat every one of his other friend much better than the way he treated me... but thats all in the past and he's "changed". Even though we've already been together for over 2 years, sometimes I fear that I'm still not quite good enough for him.

Sometimes I feel really pathetic for feeling this way, but I guess I'm just a really insecure person. I've been through a lot, a lot of things I'm not proud of, and I guess this prevents me from feeling confident or adequate as a daughter, a girlfriend, or a friend.

I would say, they're your parents, they should accept what's done is done. But that's bs cause most parents don't do that. There are times where they make you feel like crap and make you feel regret, but when it comes down to it though, I'm pretty sure they love you and you love them. It hurts a lot when they speak down to you and/or degrade you using your mistakes, but it's something that's gotta be accepted, accept that they'll do that. It's not cause they love you any less... they're probably just as scared as you in you making another mistake.

I don't think I can say anything that will affect you, and it's probably just sht you you're aware of anyway. I guess it's something you'll have to overcome, and I wish you luck & stay strong.

As for your boyfriend.. from what I read, it seems he's not good enough for you I think all that needs is more trust in yourself and in him as well.

what's to fear??? i'm not scared at all, i made a list why i htink people are scared to die:
1) Humans are greedy, we can't leave our possessions behind. Like Jesus once said, it is easier for a camel to go through an eye of a needle, then for a rich man to go into the kingdom heaven.
2) Even mice would do anything to avoid pain. Maybe we fear the pain that may associate death. Or for those who believe in Hell, they fear the eternal pain they might suffer in the lake of burning sulfur.
3) We don't want to leave those we love, or hurt them by leaving their side.
4) Not knowing of the after-life can frighten people.
5) The thought of what will happen to our flesh can frighten people, especially for those vain. When we are buried, our flesh are eaten away and or deteriorate. This thought can make the mind quesy, and let our imanginations get the better of us.

okay so i have this BIG fear of spiders.. and its like really bothering me because when i see a spider.. i literally FREAK OUT! i spaz.. i stop breathing or hyperventilate.. i shake uncontrollably.. sometimes i even start CRYING! and i mean.. my boyfriend and my BEST friends know how teriffied i am.. but some people that dont know me that well.. will laugh when they see me act like that.. and it makes me feel uncomfortable and stuff you know? and i just recently got a pool built in my backyard [wo0pwo0p] and since then there has been like ALOT of spiders around it and im freaking out alot and i really dont want to be like that anymore..

like today i was swimming and i was doing lenghts and my dog was chasing me.. and i was going up the steps of the pool to get out to get a drink and there was this spider.. just sat there.. and it was BIG.. and i fell back into the water.. choked on the water.. and then just ran outta the pool as fast as i could and i ran right into my house and into my room and sat breathing hard on my bed for like 5min until i calmed down enough to move!

i mean.. sheesh.. i dont wanna be a wimp!! lol.. this is pretty pathetic and i dont like it... so hmm.. do you know any.. good way to like.. help me NOT be afraid anymores??

Oh man I was in the shower once and there was this hugee spider in the corner and flipped out I ran out of the bathroom grabbing a towel along the way..I ended up showering in the other bathroom I was so creeped out. Yuck.

One of my friends is really afraid of clowns and anything that has to do with clowns. One time we were at the beach just hanging out and then around the corner comes this clown van type thing.. it scared me.. and she started crying and rocking back and forth.. she was totally freakin out.. at first I thought it was hilarious but I knew that she was really afraid of it... okay so i have this BIG fear of spiders.. and its like really bothering me because when i see a spider.. i literally FREAK OUT! i spaz.. i stop breathing or hyperventilate.. i shake uncontrollably.. sometimes i even start CRYING! and i mean.. my boyfriend and my BEST friends know how teriffied i am.. but some people that dont know me that well.. will laugh when they see me act like that.. and it makes me feel uncomfortable and stuff you know? and i just recently got a pool built in my backyard [wo0pwo0p] and since then there has been like ALOT of spiders around it and im freaking out alot and i really dont want to be like that anymore..

like today i was swimming and i was doing lenghts and my dog was chasing me.. and i was going up the steps of the pool to get out to get a drink and there was this spider.. just sat there.. and it was BIG.. and i fell back into the water.. choked on the water.. and then just ran outta the pool as fast as i could and i ran right into my house and into my room and sat breathing hard on my bed for like 5min until i calmed down enough to move!

i mean.. sheesh.. i dont wanna be a wimp!! lol.. this is pretty pathetic and i dont like it... so hmm.. do you know any.. good way to like.. help me NOT be afraid anymores??

I HATE SPIDERS TOOO! one time i was watching tv in our basement where you find alot of spiders crawling around and one was on our ceiling above me, i didnt know until it came on my glasses and i saw these long legs on my lens. I SCREAMED! i started running around, taking my clothes off cuz it went down in my shirt as i tried to get it off. i took all my clothes off until i was in my bra and panties and i was breathing really hard. the scariest thing in my whole life

i think spiders can be controlled. in a sense. you can make dem from moving. just give dem a blow. constant blow and they would stop moving or move away from da direction of da wind. well, i uesd to catch spiders when i was very young but i've stopped doin tat already. i used to have a huge collection of dem!!

i've solved my phobia of spiders.

originally, it was because a spider craawled in my ear on haloween night and wouldn't come out.

to solve my phobia, i took up spider crushing.

it's fun. i destroy them.
