On CNN, the "analysts," were saying that Huckabee really screwed him over.

McCain also sent all his people to Huckabee when Romney was winning in certain states.

Damn the republicans are so shady. I knew something was wrong, when somebody like Ron Paul was still in the race.

Can you confirm? I heard this too, but I wasn't sure if it were true. I'm sure, lemme look for it. I don't know how credible this source is, but http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/pos...TQzNTJhN2E1ZTk= They said it was mentioned on Fox, but I haven't gone through Fox yet to check for it. |

I couldn't help but vomit in my mouth a little after seeing the 'For the Troops' advertisement in the bottom right. Thanks for the link, though. I'm iffy on its credibility, but if this is true, and it comes to light, then right-winged hags are going to lose their footing in this balancing game. |

Damn the republicans are so shady. I knew something was wrong, when somebody like Ron Paul was still in the race. Why is this shady? Paul has a huge grassroots support base. Gravel is still in the race for the democrats, as well. PRO-TIP: People don't always run to win. If Ron Paul gets a significant amount of votes, it shows the guy who wins the nomination that they can't ignore the paleoconservatives/libertarians that are voting for Ron Paul. I'm sure, lemme look for it. I don't know how credible this source is, but http://campaignspot.nationalreview.com/pos...TQzNTJhN2E1ZTk= They said it was mentioned on Fox, but I haven't gone through Fox yet to check for it. AFAIK National Review has ENDORSED Romney, so it's easy to understand why they're so quick to call shenanigans. |

From what I know, Romney made the accusation, McCain denied it, and then it ended there.
Then Romney dropped out, saying he wanted to keep the party united. Which kinda sucks, not because I wanted to vote for him, but because it'd be interesting if Romney had stayed in. Then we could see if he, Huckabee and Paul could get enough votes to prevent McCain from getting the minimum 1000+ votes required for the nomination. Would have been funny as hell. But Romney wanted to prevent this from happening. |

Romney is still in, just his campaign is "on suspension".
http://wvgazette.com/News/200802050313 an additional source, don't know how credible it is. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/02/05/super.gop/index.html QUOTE(CNN) Romney led the first round of voting in West Virginia but it appeared supporters of McCain, who placed a distant third on the first ballot, moved over to Huckabee, helping him gain the majority needed to win and the state's 18 delegates.
