favorite shows so far? designers you're looking forward to see?

I'm really excited to see the paris/milan shows. NY has been slightly disappointing so far, but I'm hoping that it'll get better. I love how the menswear trend is still in, but I can't pull off wide-legged trousers too well, so I'm hoping to see more skinnies.

Donna Karen once said, "leather garments are a designer's worst nightmare." I beg to differ, judging from her outfit.

I have the Veoh.com player downloaded to my computer. It has different channles that focus on certain interests. The Vogue/Men's Vogue channel is all over FW08. Its like watching a marathon of fashiontrance.

I hear Diddy is going to be using all black models in his show. Talk about a statement. Did anybody see Ashanti on the runway? She looked good.

i didn't like betsey johnson but then again, i think betsey johnson is trashy :).
lacoste was a miss at first but then i saw a few pieces i would wear (and want), so i'm stuck in between hit and miss. i guess i'll have to see at the store. i usually love lacoste though especially last year's fall ready-to-wear collection.

boy by band of outsiders looked marc jacobs. i like.

off topic but mandy moore and sophia bush looked good at ports 1971 and maxazria (shown).

and jamie king, LINDSAY LOHAN clone. still sexy though.

Betsey Johnson's collections are really tacky. Because of that, and the popularity of her lines, women find ways to work with it. She still offers handbags and other accesories that are workable on their own.

betsey johnson was a HUGE miss this time around. so was michael kors

max azria as i said earlier was amazing as usual both for his own line, for bcbg, and for herve leger.

Monique Lhullier was gorgeous as was Proenza Schouler.
Y-3 was amazing. Tartan meets Adidas. Win.
Anna Sui was either hit or miss. But I loved the fact that she opened with Agyness Deyn.

Badgley Mischka had some nice pieces...

Marc by Marc Jacobs was disappointing. I just didn't see anything I really liked, compared to other seasons.
Carolina Herrera was a big miss (and big disappointment), with weird hawking-type outfits that were rather costume-y IMO.

Loved Proenza Schouler's use of deep, rich colors at the beginning, and all the trapeze dresses with tights and pumps.

Awful mix of color in regards to the design. Either that, or her pale skin is just not working with that dress.

I really like that across the shoulder "strap". It's tailored very nicely too.

I was really looking forward to Shipley & Halmos since Trovata was always pretty good. And it's a more urban line than Trovata.

The guy in the back is from Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency laugh.gif

It was all quite simple, but I'd love to wear every single piece.

^ It's nice that Burberry Prorsum is doing more than the trench, like in the past few seasons.

Blumarine started out too lingerie-ish for me, but it got more dressed up. I thought it was a really weird mix- lingerie, leopard print, and Grecian. But certain pieces were really nice.

I didn't like Giorgio Armani's gowns at all...

And I've pretty much have always liked Giorgio Armani.

Oh, and I like the fact that Dior Homme is hiring thinner, chicken chested models more often now.

I thought Alexander McQueen was gorgeous! It was very dramatic, but not scary. I loved the ballet-like and 1800's dresses and all the feathers (used in the right way) and the flats and booties.

Valentino was so pretty... I personally like this new designer better.

Loved Stella McCartney which I usually do, though some of the felt stuff looked like it couldn't move very well.
