You and I are in the same boat but I am a little different. If I were you, I would definitely try not to go to a community college. To me, they are not as resourceful, and they don't have the same challenges that bigger universities do. College is definitely what you make of it. You are either going to bust your ass and become successful, or you are going to play around and go absolutely nowhere. My advice would be to research what you want to do thoroughly, and then pick the school that is right for you. While a bigger school is not always better, they tend to offer more as far as resources and networking go. Good luck with whatever you choose.

What college is like is subjective; I loved college because I finally learned what I wanted to do. Do a lot of things around college. Don't be afraid to put yourself out there because no one will know you if you don't, and yes, college is what you make of it. If you don't do anything, college can just be another boring experience.

College is also hard work, though. But, being that you're from the military, I doubt you'll slack off. What will be your major?
