AMAZING MOVIE, this guy is amazing. His movies are so different and i loved the latest two he made. But this movie was really good.

Anybody heard of it?

I just came back home from watching it.

If you dont wanna get to scared but like just scared enough, this is the movie for you. I got goosebumps like crazy and the movie is very haunting.

its different and refreshing, i suggest you all go see it.

5 stars from me, its not out in all theaters though, but its definitely not low budget movie.

this guy is the maker of PAN's Labyrinth.

but here is the link to the site. '

No, I meant there weren't any subtitles. I'd have watched if there were, but I can't understand too much Spanish without them.

Actually when I watched Pan's Labyrinth, it for some reason made me really scared of dying. And I was flying to England the next day, so it wasn't the best time to be freaked out. Great movie, though. I'd still like to see it again, and need to find this in English too (subtitled, I mean; I know it's in Spanish).

I'm scared easily, so I don't do the whole scary movie thing. I watched The Forgotten like 4 years ago or something, which wasn't even a scary movie, and the movie basically traumatized me.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing it because I like Pan's Labyrinth so much. Pan's was excellent to me. I hope this movie is just as good , but I was afraid it wasn't since it is supposed to be scary. All I need to do now if find somewhere relatively close that is showing it.

I totally loved the movie. While technically a 'horror' film, it's not so much scary as it was smart. I have a couple of friends who were scared to absolute death, but I found the surprises for captivating than repulsive, as opposed to say, Paris Hilton get speared in the first ten minutes of House of Wax.

is it extremely haunting or does the movie's captivation overpower the eeriness?

extremely haunting. they do show some nasty parts, like with blood and stuff but nothing like hostel. lol

but it is haunting in a while like remember sixth sense when you find out bruce willis is actually dead...... think about that but like 10xtimes that. LIKE OMGOD. when the ending conflict is resolved its like omg that is so creepy. like everything connects together. OMG i am getting goosebumps like crazy typing this.

but to whoever saw the movie here is a question.

wasnt it creepy when she held her son in the basement? omg i am getting so many goosebumps.

but the thing is the theaters around me stopped playing the movie already, i was so mad cause i was about to see it a second time with my other friends and cousin.
ughhh i guess imma have to wait now.

I watched tonight because it's an instant play on netflix now.

It was pretty creepy, but very good. Even if I hadn't known going in that it was by the same director as Pan's Labyrinth, I would have realized pretty quickly because the style was very similar.

I think I was one of few people who didn't like Pan's Labyrinth. I don't know if I'd make it a priority to see this movie shrug.gif I might watch it if I one of my friends wanted to watch it or something.

bringing back an extremely old thread, i know i know.

but i just watched this movie today because i had been meaning to rent it for a long time now...and i really liked it. i was surprised at how tragic it was and glad it was a genuinely good movie, not a trashy horror film.

I watched this movie right after watching The Strangers, and I'm a big scaredy cat when it comes to horror movies. Although, this movie was well thought out, and not too scary.

The ghosts and Thomas' mask freaked me out a little though.
