death of celebrities don't really surprise me, but this one came out of nowhere. i was seriously expecting a very long healthy acting career from him.

He's never really in the spotlight, such as Matt Damon or Jake Gyllenhaal or Elijah Wood has been. I sort of expected his acting career to eventually die out, and he'd settle down or something. Odd.

well, by healthy, i don't mean as glamourous as the other wll-known celebs. that's why i liked him so much. in my head, he lead a good balance of having a private life as well as a "star" life. i also liked his choice in roles, 'cause regardless of having a lead role or not, he didn't appear arrogant or obnoxious to me.

Speaking of arrogant and obnoxious, Owen Wilson, anyone?

Damn, you all beat me to it, haha.
My boyfriend called me and told me to look up Heath Ledger to see if his death came up. I was like, "WHAT?!"

I can't believe he's dead. This was so unexpected. :( Just like, BHAM! Outta' nowhere.

I didn't know the guy, but its unfortunate to have controversy surrounding your cause of death.

Also, Nate Dogg (former Marine) had a stroke and is currently in the hospital.

its so sad to see this happen like all the time now. Are rich people just that unhappy now-a-days to take pills to suppress everything?

it was sleeping pills they suspected. he had trouble with sleeping.

omg thats so scared cause my mom takes sleeping pills also, she takes ambien just like he does...

It's really sad. I loved him - he was one of my biggest Hollywood crushes in my early teens.

A lot of people have depression. When do people think of suicide? When they're happy? Suicide is selfish, regardless, and not simply because "It's okay because he suffered from depression."

yah i was wondering that, too. 'cause i thought it was undetermined yet. it could have been an accidental overdose or just a bad combination of drugs/alcohol. i guess either way, it doesn't seem all too innocent though.

it's really sad if it really is suicide. for him to take the easy way out is disappointing.

Pills are suspicious but there shouldn't be any conclusion jumping yet til the autopsy is out.

Such a tragedy. And this guy had hope too. He was a terrific actor. (And he was so good looking..)

Sleeping pills, was it?

Thats what sources are saying apparently. But yeh, a friend of mine called to randomly tell me this. I couldn't believe it. I really liked his work.

while the news at first didn't set in... now it sort of has. I realized that people like Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicholson, Woody Allen, all started out young just like Ledger..its sad to see the Youth of Hollywood go, especially talented ones like heath.

Is it really bad that the first thing I thought when I saw he was 28 was that if he'd died a year earlier he'd have joined the 27 Club?

I am still grieving. And I just noticed that I'm wearing a black sweater. LOL, not intentional, but I might look like I'm mourning anyway.

I told one of my friends about this and she didn't believe me at first. Then I emailed her with a link to an official news story and then started to cry into the phone because she LOVED him so much.

PEOPLE ARE GOING TO PICKET HEATH LEDGER'S FUNERAL.

article click here

disgusting people. this is freaking ridiculous, if i knew i about his funeral i would do everything in my power to stop these people from picketing his funeral.

AS much as I hate to label the people that are doing this becuase i would totally be doing what they are doing, i just think its so f*cking disgusting.

in the article it shows clips of John Gibson on fox news, mocking heath himself becuase he was in brokeback mountain.

the actual clip of him making fun of heath is here.

the two responses you should hear, clip 1 & clip 2.

If you want to write to foxnews, there are email addresses you can write to(directly to foxnews). You can write to foxnews about what they are doing and why they are letting him air those kind of nasty jokes towards heath.

If you have some kind of feeling toward this please send let it out.

thats just freaking f*cking hilarious. "god hates america" then why the hell are you standing on american soil?

and does that little boy/girl know exactly what he/she is doing. they have everybody brainwashed... its so sad.

It still hasn't completely set in yet. There's a definite sort of disconnect there when I hear "Heath Ledger" and "death" mentioned in the same sentence. Last night I visited the little shrines outside his apartment, and it kind of made things a little more real to me.

RIP Heath.

I don't see what's all the hype and fuss about. So he died. Why make it so publicized? Thousands of people die everyday. Do they ever get mentioned? What makes him so special? He's just another person like you and me. Get off his dick already, and let Jake do all the nut sucking.

Ahhh. I loved him! My brother told me the day it happened and was like, "The whole thing is really ironic because last night I was watching a movie and they were singing The Joker's dead, the joker's dead! and go figure the next day Heath Ledger, playing the Joker in the new Batman, dies." I was so mortified when my brother told me that.

You know what's dumb . ___ .
After he died, all the friends that he rarely talks to comes to his picture and act like they were so close so they can get all the attention. I mean how would you feel if you had tons of enemies or people who care less about you just comes out of nowhere when you die? That seems bit a harsh, right? Right.

Anyways, Heath Ledger. I can't believe he died. It's just too SAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I never really watched his movies.... but I thought he was a great actor!!
He probably was forced to do drug overdose. I mean he was making another movie after
Batman was completed! Or he was probably very sick and had memory problem and forgot
how much pills he took <___<;;

I mean he said the best thing in the world is his daughter. He wants to be there for her
when she graduates high school and get married. And tell me, you think he died on purpose?

Everything will be a lie media unless you hear it from HIM, but he's a goner.
I don't believe anything what happened. I will just think he just died unexpectedly.
