Okay, yeah, so who else is super excited? I've watched the first one about fifteen times and I seriously don't think it can get any better than that. Hopefully, the second one will be just as good. |

I think the first one was possibly my least favorite movie ever.
Where is James? We were made to watch the Battleshits scene about 5 times, and it was not acceptable. Awful, awful movie, IMO. |

I heard it's not that great, though. yeah they really aren't that great and a bit pricey for what you pay for really. there's no difference from the frozen ones and the ones at the restaurant in my opinion. BUT somehow they're filling. i had crazy munchies and i could only kill 5 max |

I've been waiting for this movie ever since I saw the first one. We heard there was going to be another one shortly after the first one came out... so I don't think they were trying to keep it on the DL or anything. |

I'm a F****** film major and I have a lot of movies that are considered prestigious, and I seriously can't wait to see this, sometimes films don't need to make sense or be overtly hilarious, sometimes people just want to watch movies to have a good time, people need to stop over reacting to movies like this, it appeals to an audience that can appreciate ridiculous humor in a simplistic manner. So cheers to anyone who is excited about this movie, for everyone else go watch something deep and dramatic.
P.S. NPH rules. |

WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more raunchy then the first one. Shows literally everypart of the human male AND female anatomy. which was surprising for a Theatrical comedy. The movie itself is definitely more put together then the first, and was ridiculously hilarious, it does have a lot of scatological jokes and sex jokes, but the movie is a SEQUEL to a movie that was a giant advertisement for White Castle WHILE getting high. Its not the next oscar winner, and its not even the next great comedy classic, BUT you know what you are getting yourself into when you purchase that ticket...so don't expect anything more.

I actually prefer the first one, just because it was so random. As a critic in the Chicago Tribune reviewed, "Chasing freedom’s not as funny as chasing fast food." Still funny, regardless. It definitely has a lot more jokes though. Definitely worth watching, even though yahoo's movie reviews from critics gave it a C. D:
a lot of lmfao moments. My boyfriend laughed a lot, and that means something since not much makes him laugh... well, mainly compared to me, who laughs at everything. ;] BTW, John Cho in the shower.... HAWT. lol @ the library scene. To the people who saw it, hahahah that was so random... The emoness with the bangs <333 |

So my friend had free movie passes so we saw Harold and Kumar, then snuck into Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
They were both insanely funny, though I actually liked Forgetting Sarah Marshall better. The second H&K was more slapstick and a whole lot more raunchy than the first one. Some of it seemed forced, but all in all, it was still hilarious. I'd recommend it. Forgetting Sarah Marshall was PRICELESS. I'm definitely buying this when it comes out on DVD. |

But I agree that Forgetting Sarah Marshall is EXCELLENT. I've seen it 3 times now, and it still doesn't get old. Its just a really well put together comedy that touches almost everyone who has been in a relationship. |

But comparing the first HK and the second, I definitely liked the first one better. The second one was funny, but at times, I feel like it just tries a little bit too hard. Did anybody see that bit after the credits? lulz. |

So my friend had free movie passes so we saw Harold and Kumar, then snuck into Forgetting Sarah Marshall.. We saw Forgetting Sarah Marshall (which we all enjoyed) and then snuck into Harold and Kumar (officially the only movie I have ever walked out on). That shit was awful. The attempted satire of America was idiotically juxtaposed against an appeal to the lowest common denominator (bravo for sucking so hard). I enjoyed the first one (although I would never aspire to own it), but this sequel is far too self-important to be so unfunny. |

You have a long way to go. No point in worrying quite yet. Ugh, this is the reason why I can't stand film majors and/or elitist movie snobs. For me, Harold and Kumar is a movie you go to high, see high, then leave happy as f**k with an urge to satisfy your munchies at White Castle. Review: http://labuzamovies.com/Harold_%26_Kumar_2.html As much as I love to disagree with him (he's another one of those elitist film major, my-opinion-is-better-than-yours movie buffs that live on my floor), I actually agree with everything he says about the movie in his review. |

No.
I actually edited that part out of my post, but there are a few film majors on my floor and they're really obnoxious to watch movies with. They have an elitist, my-taste-is-better-than-yours attitude and constantly say things similar to what I quoted you as saying. Even when I agree with them, I hate listening to them talk because they tend to go into things that nobody else really cares about. Yeah, Harold and Kumar was a little over the top, but I personally think that's what gives it appeal. And then somebody like you comes along and says something like: QUOTE The attempted satire of America was idiotically juxtaposed against an appeal to the lowest common denominator(bravo for sucking so hard). I enjoyed the first one (although I would never aspire to own it), but this sequel is far too self-important to be so unfunny. What the hell is that even supposed to mean? |

Yeah, Harold and Kumar was a little over the top, but I personally think that's what gives it appeal. The filmmakers might have thought they were going "over the top," but it's kind of hard to threaten the "status-quo" when you appeal to it so feverishly. I guess, I'm just not convinced that full-frontal nudity or scatological humor is "over the top," and, even if it is... the top must be pretty f**king shallow. Someone wrote that it resembled an extended "Carlos Mencia skit." I can't say I disagree (holy f**k, that guy is unfunny). See Female Trouble, Cecil B. Demented, or Pink Flamingos. That's sincere trash-cinema - hilarious, subversive, and all made by John Waters. It's not like I'm a high-brow, nose-in-the-air sort of guy - I'm not. I'm a no-brow activist, and a purveyor filth. But, that filth has to be something worthwhile - this isn't even anything new. It's just boring and unfunny, through and through. What the hell is that even supposed to mean? Have you ever seen the film Idiocracy? It's sort of like that. Just as you can't effectively satirized non-intelligence with a barrage of jokes that only appeal the morons, you cannot effectively critique America by having a target audience which represents half of what is wrong with America (the audience applauded when they saw female pubic hair). Nate, did you like the first one? Yes. |

This movie was fricking HALLAARIOUSS i was laughing the whole way through. I'd definitely see that again. I don't understand grape soda though? agreed. ![]() from my understanding ignorant people seem to think grape soda and/or kool-aid are a like sacred to african-americans, kind of like how people think money is to jewish people. he was trying to poke fun at the fact that he was wasting something that he thought meant a lot to them. |

Seriously, I don't understand how it's even a bad thing. ![]() lol, that's why he was pouring it out, fool. it's just another black stereotype thing. it woulda been the same if he took a watermelon and slowly crushed it (since blacks + watermelon also stereotype). did you hear that guy in the background going "what about the kool aid?! i was serious 'bout the kool aid!!" lulz. |

^ o_O. TMI. lol.
I FOUND THE THE BEST POEM! I’m sure that I will always be A lonely number like root three The three is all that’s good and right Why must my three keep out of sight Beneath the vicious square root sign I wish instead I were a nine For nine could thwart this evil trick with just some quick arithmetic I know I’ll never see the sun, as 1.7321 Such is my reality, a sad irrationality When hark! What is this I see Another square root of a three As quietly co-waltzing by Together now we multiply To form a number we prefer Rejoicing as an integer We break free from our mortal bonds With the wave of magic wands Our square root signs become unglued Your love for me has been renewed ~Kumar <333333333 |

haha this is one of the reason's why I loved the movie so much. The first one definitely had an aspect of romance, but I felt this one defintely expanded that and connected it a lot more to the story then the first, lol. The wedding was unconventional and rather less predicting, I thought it was cute none the less. :)

I actually didn't like the romance aspect of this =/
I generally don't like romantic comedies because after the funniness in the middle, it usually just becomes sappy and ... boring. This one wasn't as bad as a romantic comedy (since it's not, lol), but I feel like somehow, it would have been a lot more funny if Kumar spent less time dwelling on that girl and if Harold had spent less time hating on Kumar. I got really sick of the bitching. |

Haha, I've heard nothing but good things about this movie the whole day. People mostly said the same thing.
"Its so funny but all you see is boobs and vaginas." I wanna go watch it, though. I loved the first one. |

It was a pretty funny movie, not as good as the first but not at terrible as some reviews were. I actually thought the part with Bush was actually one of the funniest parts.

I think the dialog is funnier than the actual scenes. Cho and Penn are hilarious together.

So I finally got to see the movie and it wasn't as funny as I thought it would be, but maybe it was cause I missed the first 15 minutes of the movie and I'm not that much into perverted humor but I thought it was pretty funny.
