Well, what happened?

Everyone always feels stupid when they break up. I can't find the words for it in my head but it's like you put so much time and effort into someone, you trust them, and it turns out you were wrong. Relationships are sometimes cruel jokes. It feels like you will never be happy again, but you will be.

Relationships are like addictions. If you spend all your time with someone and you always do things with someone when you suddenly stop doing those things you will go through withdrawals, but you will eventually get better. You just have to occupy your mind until that healing process stars.

i just skipped school (and exams) like a madwoman when i lost him for a while... i worked out like crazy every day until i just fell asleep.

working out got my mind off him more than skipping school. i had a really cool friend who skipped with me (yeah, even during exams) and we just vandalized up the area... if you know anyone who'd spend time with you distracting you, even if you're not great friends, go hang out with him/her.

eventually, he got over her, so the only thing i can say is give it time. i know you can't force yourself to forget, and i'm not telling you to, but time is key for recovery.

my friend seems happy with the gf he has now, and i know he still thinks about his ex, but not in a 'i misss her' way, but a, 'that was probably my best/longest relationship, i won't forget her because of that way.' mm, together for 2 years before that happened to him though so ionno.
