Why do people put, their Myspace on private? |

For real? If you're going to spend the time with the layout, and taking pictures and putting music up, what's the point if only the people that actually know you can see it? It's f**king retarded.

It's probably because they put a lot of personally sensitive information on there but at the same time, they want a nice layout so they just upgrade it then put it on private.

Why make it public? If you have personal information on there or if its just a means of keeping contact with old friends, its better to be private.

I agree with jaeman..when I had a myspace I set it to private, I didnt like the idea of random people looking at my profile and reading my friends comments.
If you really are interested at looking at the persons pictures and profile, add them I guess. |

I don't have a layout on my MySpace at all. It's private because I only have my friends added on there. I don't feel comfortable with people I don't know looking through my information.

True. But there is always messaging if you want to say something important or private. There are still going to be those other friends who can see comments from people they don't know because its not like all your friends on myspace know eachother

Usually people who have their profile set to private just have personal information on them, and the layouts are usually really ugly or just... not made well. Most of them don't know how to make layouts and such, or atleast from what I've seen. Plus, if I had spent an insane amount of time on a layout, I wouldn't want anyone to steal it, so I would probably set it to private. All three of those reasons are valid. xD |

IF it wasn't meant to be set on private then there wouldn't be a photo section. An About Me section and Myspace quizzes.
It's just pointless and a waste of your own time to put it on private. And you can't always add a person that set their profile on private because you either need to know their last name or email address. There's millions of people on there. Why spend the time to make a Myspace so that only your friends can see it, when they are your God damned friend that you see in real life? |
