Well, I think a tint of red would look really good on you, but I need to advise you on some hair care tips: red fades incredibly easily if you don't take care of it. Before you know it in a few weeks, it will be a gross orange/brown color. When you get it done by whomever, make sure to ask which types of shampoo/conditioner to use to care for your hair.

I'm going to say no because I really don't think red and brown go together. Maybe if it were a deep maroonish color, but a lot of shades of red clash with your shade of brown.

Go to a reputable salon in your area. Tell them what you want and they can help you. I had something very similiar to what your talking about done to my hair while I was in school.

It never faded but I use PH balanced shampoo.

well ive had about every haircolor possible lol and i just have my mom dye it for me. from the box. you get at walmart. lol. it use regular shampoo and it doesnt really noticabally fade, to me anyway. for highlights/lowlights you can get like.. caps with little holes in them, and a thing that looks like a crochet hook, and.. well idk EXAACTLY how it works lol but you can control which section gets color and which doesnt. its worth checking out if youre still looking. (btw reddish sections underneath would look really pretty with your haircolor.)

i agree with having your mom do it for you. so much cheeper than getign it done. and a brownish-red for the bottom layers would look great. dont do anything to bright.

I used to have my hair highlighted and lowlighted in red. It fades within around two weeks and turns auburn; which TBH I much prefer. You'd look good with lowlights, but do make sure to check out any lighter golden tones that might complement the red.

I'd go with Mahogany. It's a lovely rich color. It will keep your hair looking full and healthy. It will bring out your eyes and also, it's nothing dramatic. Adding a little red will only give the illusion that your hair's lighter, without really being light at all. It gives a lovely sheen. I'd say definately try that. You wont be disappointed.
