are you talking about this layout?
http://www.createblog.com/layouts/preview.php?id=24440

what did your rejection PM say, verbatim, if you don't mind posting it?

it's odd that a design staff would just say "sorry it got rejected" in the rejection PM.

I would say it got rejected because the background doesnt tile seamlessly and the notebook photo is a TAD low quality. but when its the main pic, and that big, it really needs to be of the highest quality possible.

oh and i struggle with the background on this layout because the image (ntebook) comes with a tiny background so i cut a bit off the background and used it as the main bakground an thats what happened ...just doenst work !

Sometimes the queue is overwhelming and there isn't time for an in depth critique, but a reasonable amount of criticism should be given when something is rejected, especially if it is a layout.

If you would like more of a critique, perhaps PM the person who rejected your submission? I'm sure they wouldn't mind answering your questions.

As Supersitious said, the queue does get very overwhelming from time to time and if you didn't think your rejection letter was detailed enough always feel free to respond to the letter and ask for a more detailed answer as to why your layout was rejected and possibly something to help you make a better submission next time. Sorry for the inconveniences.

I rejected that layout. At the end I said you could pm me if you needed more, because I had about 35 others in the queue. If you need more explanation you can PM me _smile.gif

yeah that's fine. i usually give at least one quick reason, and say pm me if you have questions. when you have that much in the queue, it's impossible to devote anymore time to one person than that.
