The best book I read this year would have to be Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. It gave me a lot of insight into the world of spirituality and Eastern thought that I hadn't yet received. I think that it pushed me to grow up a bit and realize that I can become less of an angsty, rebellious teenager if I just quit all the complaining and worrying and focus on myself. No one else's life needs to concern me and I don't need to hate the world to be intellectually superior -- just stop caring, and laugh at the imperfections. The world itself should have no significance to me, not the material substances plaguing the people and my mother and sister and friends and acquaintances. No more focusing on the bad and easily changed parts of human society; my own existence matters, and I can affect it and change it any way I deem necessary.

Blindness - Jose Saramago
The author writes in really long sentences and the story was pretty cool and dramatic. And Harry Potter 7 Um otherwise i don't read much books >_>;; Or I have forgotten 'em. |

Harry Potter 7 and Twilight. Yes, I know I am quite slow! I had no clue it was that good, if I did I would've read it as soon as it came out

Valley of the Dolls by Jaqueline Susann is no doubt my favorite book of 2007. I got it in the summer (I think...) before I went on a trip, and since then, I think I've re-read it more than five times.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by JK Rowling, The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold, and Death and the Maiden by Ariel Dorfman. Fun, touching, and provocative.

I like books that make you think; the ones that you can't see through from the very beginning. With that in mind, I think Lucas by Kevin Brooks was the best. Eclipse is a close second with The Millionaires coming in third.

Come Back - Claire Fontaine The Glass Castle - Jeannette Walls All amazing books. The first one really helped me put things into perspective about past choices. It helped me so much. |

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, of course.
I'm with the Running with Scissors group as well. lol. Movie was slightly terrible though, but entertaining I suppose. I don't think I'll ever pick up the Twilight series, seems too much like a sappy love story to me. I enjoy Philosophical books, as well as Science Fiction. |
