I've never been to Ulta but I hear it's a lot like Sephora, so I would probably buy a nice mascara (diorshow? I've always wanted to try it but i always end up getting something else) and maybe a cheap lipgloss or something.

Haha sorry I'm no help. I don't really wear much makeup.

i tried diorshow (dior sent me one for some reason? i don't know), it wasn't really that great, imo. mostly it's because the brush is pretty huge compared to typical drugstore mascaras (i haven't tried enough high-end ones to know), and i have short and sparse "asian lashes." it really doesn't grab them unless you're pro, and it doesn't do too much for volume when your lashes are already .. quite nonexistent.

i'm sure it would work wonders for people with normal "caucasian lashes" though.

makeupalley says the brushes are amzaingaing... idk, i think i'll probalby just get them both over a period of time. lawl

I'm pretty sure ULTA doesn't sell Dior.

I'd go with a nice brush set, but definitely not a mini one. If you don't have the essential brushes, then buy ones with longer handles... it's definitely way easier to use. Carrying around a bunch of brushes is a hassle anyways.

Those eyeshadows don't look worth it at all. The colors are boring and plain.

You could also pick up a perfume you've been wanting or running out of.

they're not eyeshadows; they're actually more like all-over facey.. things. i read some reviews on them and they seem pretty neat. shrug.gif

i have my costco brushes, but i 'injured' my eyeshadow brush :( the costco ones are all with long handles though, and i prefer to have a close-up of what i'm doing.

They have Urban Decay at ULTA, right? Have you tried their primer potion? I'd get that; I love it.
I've never tried anything from Lola. The face thing looks pretty, though.

yeah, i heard udpp was amazing, but my shadows last pretty long (with and without base.. right now i just use a cream highlighter or cg undereye concealer for base) and i'm satisfied with how they look already. shrug.gif
