I swear there was a topic on this...I'll ponder where it is as I make this one. shifty.gif But anyway, back to the topic. I hate the recorded laughter that TV shows put on their shows. It kinda destroys the joke. I know Disney channel does it alot. What about you guys? Or am I the only one who gets annoyed by this?

whats the eyebrow thing mean?

but on just jordan its not even on a set like suite life is
its in actual buildings and stuff, so the random laughter covering over background music & ongoing coversation irritates me.

i had a lot to say about that haha

hahah I don't seem to notice it at all. I guess the laughter keeps the show "alive".

When I read this I thought of the guy from the Tila show. Haha.

Whenever I watch older shows, like Boy Meet World and Sabrina they have laugh tracks in them and it's really odd.

Oh my god, I hate those things. It ruins it when I don't need to laugh.

I don't notice or care about the timing of laugh tracks too much. I usually laugh or smile when they're played, anyway. tongue.gif

Oh, I love the recorded laughter. Sometimes it just makes shows. I watched Red Dwarf once without the audiences' laughter....totally ruined it for me. laugh.gif

I think it's ok when it's timed correctly, but annoying when it's unrealistic, like heavy laughter being suddenly cut off.

haha I JUST noticed that! I was watching Suite Life and I heard these random laughters and some people were faking the laugh. (It sounded like they were) blink.gif

i think most of those family sitcoms have programmed laughters.

when i opened this topic, it reminded me of a Mitsubishi commercial i heard on the radio today. the guy's voice had an odd pitch.

If there is a live audience, and the actors are doing their thing and then they mess up, the audience has seen whats supposed to be funny, so doesn't that mean the audience has to fake it?

The only thing I hate about the laughing is when its not even necessary.

For some really strange reason, I usually like it better when there's laugh tracks in a comedy show. But I totally understand what you mean.

Tell me about it, I was watching Suite Life and they even laughed when they broke London's thousand dollar vase. wacko.gif It just kills the joke.

Canned laughter is always annoying, but not as annoying as that one chick's laugh on Friends (Chandler's ex-girlfriend).

Sometimes they are annoying, like in Disney channel shows.

But in The Office, sometimes it is just awkward because something is funny, but the tv is silent.

I'm used to hearing the laughter, from talk shows to the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air!
