Does anyone go caroling anymore? I know I am for my school. Hey, if my music class wants to take me out of class all day to sing, I don't hate it. rolleyes.gif

Mmm, Carolers are decidedly creepy. What are you supposed to do when they come a-calling other than look really, really embarrassed that these happy people are on your doorstep serenading you?

I don't think I ever have... I might have when I was really, really little. I can't really sing, so I like to think I'm doing people a favor. Around here, though, if you were to ring someone's doorbell and sing they'd probably shoot you.

Our Choir class goes to the capital to sing...

Oh gosh, hell no. LOL I just can't bring myself to do that. My mom tries to get me to go every year (somehow she hooks herself up with carolers, she's gifted like that. Heh).

i dont dare and with good reason
everytime i do it, i get asked to do a solo
i dont have any backbone for that

ask me to jump off of a cliff with a parachute and i'll do it
ask me to sing on my own with no music and i'll run for the hills

I never have. No one around where I live does. Now I've seen groups/choirs at the mall sing.

Never in my life has anyone come to my house to sing Christmas Carols. However, my junior year in high school, our French teacher had us go to several classrooms around campus and sign Christmas songs in French. That was kind of embarassing.

we had to do that too

vive le vent, vive le vent!
vive le vent d'hiver,
qui s'en va sifflant, soufflant
dans les grands sapins verts.
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh !

we had an idea to go caroling for choir but we never did.
usually we carol around the school for the whole 3 hours of school we have the last day before break, but they did this weird thing this year where you were desegnated to an area you chose-either movie [auditorium], sports [gym, duh], board/card games [cafeteria]

that was totally not on topic... =|

sur le pont d'avignon
l'on y danse, l'on y danse

Yeah, I agree with that. It'd be kinda fun being the carolers though - seeing everyone's awkward facial expressions and all rolleyes.gif

I always thought it was:

Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...
Jack Frost ripping off your clothes.

Who goes caroling anymore? I haven't seen many carolers here. =\

Anyway, I love this song! Only if it's sung by Nat King Cole.
