Fantastic movie. One of my favorite Will Smith movies ever, and that's saying something when compared to such successes as Independence Day and The Pursuit of Happyness.

It was good. I liked it. It is worth see'ing, I saw it on the 2nd day it came out, and o m g, it was packed. LOL. Had to re-enter my ticket for a different time since I came in late (15 mins earlier before it started).

However, I find the ending kind of quick but it's all good.

You mean like how Bad Boys II was good?

Nevertheless, I'd like to see it since the book it was based on has a good story.

I agree, I thought the movie was good for the most part. They did a good job of making New York look abandoned. But yeah the NightSeekers CG was horrible, also the male lion looked fake to me.

And yeah I thought the ending was terrible, not so much that he died, but it seemed like there was so much left unexplained.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS:

How do I know for sure he found a cure? What if the so called cure reversed itself, due to the fact they never showed that person fully recover.

Who set that trap Will fell into, the NightSeekers or him?

Did those two humans take a boat to get to New York? How did they get there with every possible entrance being destroyed?

In the book there were humans who were able to keep the virus at bay but were also sensitive to light, why were they not in this movie?

Why did the mutation cause the NightSeekers to become sensitive to light?

In the trailer they showed one of the Nightseekers screaming in Will's ear, what happened to that scene?

"Please say Hi to me" was my favorite line. laugh.gif

Now that I've seen this movie, I'm interested in seeing his movie Hancock, looks funny.

I'm answering to the spoilers cuz I'm bored. lol.

Do not read if u don't want to find out.

- They showed the girl that was fully cured, but they did show it partly as it heals.
- NightSeekers (Are they really called NightSeekers? I just call them zombie bytches lol) of course set the trap. That's how they moved the mannequin (forgot his name that Will called him? Was it Carl?) since they were ready near the mannequin as sun goes down.
- Possibly? Since they were from the coast.
- What do you mean keep the virus at bay? Themselves infected or what? But the infected were sensitive to UV Lights.
- Because they just were when they were infected? xD
- I saw this part, when he was inside the dark building. I dunno how you missed it, but damn, my adrenaline was pumping like crazy.

Haha, that was pretty funny (that line).

I also want to see Hancock, it looks funny and interesting. Will Smith is a great actor.

- Yeah they showed her somewhat healed, but I was curious what she would say once Will cured her, or if she could speak at all.

- If I'm not mistaken they called them NighSeekers or something like that. I was just curious about the trap due to the fact throughout the movie the creatures seemed primitive to me and setting a trap of that magnitude didn't seem feasible for them. I also saw some site say Will set the trap but his psychological mind state was so messed up he forgot he set it. So thats why I was wondering about that.

- A boat would be the only thing I can think of. _unsure.gif

- Well in the book there were two type of creatures. Those who gave into their primal rage and then those who were able to control the virus to a point where they could remain themselves in a sense. Despite this in the book Will's character still goes around executing both kinds. But there was no mention of the second type of creature in this movie. I guess there is only so much you can cover given the budget.

- LMAO surely there must be some scientific reasoning behind it.

- Maybe I saw it and just don't remember it. But yeah, that scene was scary, and I haven't been scared in watching a movie in a long time.

Yeah , I couldn't help but laugh despite the fact that Will was looking so serious.

Too bad that movie isn't going to be out until the summer of next year. =[

I liked it, but as Kyro said, the ending sucked. The lack of music in the movie (minus the Bob Marley songs and the ending) was a very nice touch.

I was actually in New York while they were shooting, it was interesting to see it all come together.

This movie actually really freaked me out. I spent a good portion of the end with my face towards my boyfriends chest. I even yelped at one part. I mean, granted, I'm a wuss... but like.. monsters like that really scare the shit out of me. It took me awhile to get over the movie 28 Days Later (The one with the monkeys) and I find this movie really similar to that movie.

I REALLY didn't want to see this movie. Scary monsters ARE NOT my thing... but my boyfriend was dying to see it stubborn.gif so I finally agreed to go watch it with him.

I actually enjoyed it. Well, everything I began to see the things I just didn't really focus on them.. but I saw them a few times. They're pretty disgusting, in my opinion. The ending worked for me. After hearing about the movie over and over from a lot of people, I expected the ending to be like a horror movie, but I was wrong.

I liked the Bob Marley songs. In the beginning, I thought his daughter was a boy, but then.. yeah. When I saw the trailer for Hancock, the wholeeeee time I was thinking "UHH..... ? blink.gif "

No, it was Fred.

I went to see this the other night and I felt disappointed. My boyfriend loves survival-style movies so this was really his thing, but I agree with the other views - there are too many unanswered questions and the ending is awfully rushed.

This film could have been amazing. The contact with the infected could have been mind-blowing (rather than house-blowing) and I wish more was made of it.

This is a pretty good movie but one thing that sucks, is the ending. The whole movie was really good up to the last couple of scenes where it seemed like the writer's started slacking off and eventually decided to go on the writer's strike too.

It's actually a pretty good movie, the ending is what sucked. I mean seriously, Will Smith couldn't have gone into that chamber with the other two, threw the grenade out to kill the zombies, and just close the door? That way they all could have lived.

i disagree with your opinion because if Will Smith: wouldnt have died then the name of the movie wouldnt make any sense he dies for a reason, thats how he became a legend for his findings of the antivirus and as a hero. Plus how can he even trow the granade if the doors are sealed and if he even opens they will kill them they are strong that was a stupid opinion lol no offense.
