I personally think that it has turned into emo central. With the exception of a few people here and there, everybody else is making this their lives. Get over yourself por favor. By the by I happen to love CB!

I don't see the emo-ness? Createblog is in no way my life, in the past I remember taking things way to seriously and it led me to just be hated by most people. I came back and I really could care less about the drama and what not. I'm calm with the things going on currently and I'm trying to work everything out so everyone is on the same terms with things.

Good these are the things I like to hear. Although I have been here for only a short time, I must admit I look forward to talking to people on here all the time. It just gets to a point with others that it is like stfu already.

CreateBlog is merely a big part of my Internet life. :P So I don't really depend on it, though it would be pretty sad to see it just die or whatever.

But yeah. Too many annoying noobs. -__-

After a while you get use to the annoying people, its an usual thing.. most of the time they just start to blend in with all the other members. Just have to give them some time. Although I do have to say there is that handfull of people that just don't ever change... and of course the community makes fun of them..they feed off the attention until the members come to the conclusion that they should just ignore them..and the end.

I think cB is the same as always. The mods think they can run everything we do on this site, and they decide to make new rules/regulations regardless of how much objection there is to it and how stupid it is. Also the mods are the same as always in regards to the most active ones being strict and not fun at all.

I'm going to have to agree with Sammi, this place is getting pretty f**king ridiculous.

CreateBlog is not really comparable to MySpace or Facebook since it's a forum, not a social networking site.

I don't know how cB suddenly got so out of control. I know it's always had its share of cliques and e-drama, but now everyone's leaving and getting into so many more fights than usual; it's ridiculous.

I think everyone is taking this too seriously.
CB is fine. Everywhere you go (on the internet and in real life) you will find dumb, rude, annoying, and offensive people. In the same places you will find kind, caring, funny, and interesting people. If you avoid/bash every place where the dumb, rude, annoying, and offensive people dwell you will never find any of the kind, caring, funny, and interesting people because you will have isolate yourself.

In short, let it f**king go. Quit being pussies and understand that people are different. Do you honestly think it would be interesting here if everyone followed every rule and acted just like everyone else?

Having a sense of humor is one thing, joking with friends is one thing, posting obscene pictures once in a while is one thing, but it got to the point where I didn't see one post of his without him insulting someone else. When someone is visibly offending or hurting or harassing someone else, that's when you do something about it. If someone bothered you all the time about how ugly you were or how stupid you were or whatever in like, every topic, you would be pretty bothered, wouldn't you? Just think of it in terms of your general person...he didn't need a harsh punishment or anything, but it should have been recognized and acknowledged as bad before it got that far. Like once you see it happening several times, it needs an, "OK, cut it out now, dude."

I don't think anyone is asking everyone else to follow the rules completely. In fact, most members don't want that because of how bland it would make cB. But if people could at least try to be civil to each other, curb their urge to bash others, not call others pieces of shit/crap, etc. then things would be much better.

I think JC and Eddie summed it up perfectly for me when I first started out on here. I posted a topic and got upset when Jeanna was coming down my throat and they told me: It is a public place and you aren't going to like what people say. If you aren't going to like what people have to say then you shouldn't post on the forums. That was when I realized that it is not that serious and it should be up to the individual to make it a good experience for themselves.

well i'm in agreement with that, obviously, since i read that and didn't give u a verbal warning. i haven't heard josh out or anything so i guess i'll wait to see his reasoning

i agree with holly, the staff needs to decide what's ok and what's not i guess. i'm going off personal judgment, but once again, i'm not someone who thinks people should get all that offended around here. so i don't know

well, we've done much better than blogring. that makes cb decent.

there are tons of people with brilliant talent and personality on here that are worth getting to know, and everyone's got their flaws... so if anyone else complains about holly being a pushover or someone being a hypocrite, i'm sure there's something about you that makes you imperfect as well so STFU BITCHES.

then we have our morons, but some of them are entertaning enough to make fun of.

QUOTE(Synesthesia @ Dec 11 2007, 10:12 PM) *
I don't think anyone is asking everyone else to follow the rules completely. In fact, most members don't want that because of how bland it would make cB. But if people could at least try to be civil to each other, curb their urge to bash others, not call others pieces of shit/crap, etc. then things would be much better.

Some urges are just too strong. I know I have bashed a member or two in debates or heated discussions. It's not something I do everyday but, everyone does it at least a few times in their life.
Some people just deserve it, and if you (not you personally, but people being bashed) can't handle it then you are too weak. That's all just my opinion though. thumbsup.gif

so if anyone else complains about holly being a pushover or someone being a hypocrite, i'm sure there's something about you that makes you imperfect as well so STFU BITCHES.

then we have our morons, but some of them are entertaning enough to make fun of.

Everyone is hypocritical to some degree even if they don't show it or don't like to admit it. No one should use "At least I'm not a hypocrite" to defend themselves on this site.

n00bs annoying me. But hey, everyone here used to be a noob as well! So we can't really argue.

I'm getting pissed about the layout thing. Back then, MOST layouts that were submitted were pretty decent..now most of them are just flooding in and making my eyes bleed. With the exception of few.

ANYWHO!

This thing has really taken on a life of it's own. Words aren't even good enough anymore. Some admins need to just stick to being one way all the time instead of making exceptions when they see fit. That's what I think leads to alot of the chaos. Also there need to be more admins and staff because I swear I see like the same 7 or 8 staff all the damn time. If you had like 20 people actively patrolling and making it a good place and just interacting with people and blah blah blah it would be cool.

i think we need more mods like diana, haha. she seems to get on with the community and she's able to be lenient without letting things get completely out of hand.

elba too.
i still say steven michelle and spencer should be on staff, fershure. i don't see michelle too often on here, but i don't see how anyone can say she was a bad mod.

i think my posts are starting to turn into mod performance, hmm.

All of you getting all dramatic just cuz a couple apples are getting infected..

just because some apples got infected, that doesn't mean the rest will get infected.

the owners(admins/mods) need to keep an eye out and see where it needs to be watered!!

i got attacked by a folding chair once. it bit me on the shin.

i don't think there is a way to be totally consistent at all. everyone has different opinions on if something is lenient or strict, and someone is always going to complain how "this was too lenient, this was too strict". if we're really going to go all psychotic and try to please everyone, we might as well set up cb court to determine whether each and every action (moving topics, closing topics, merging topics, warning, banning, suspending, whatever!) was deserved or not, with a ginormous variety of members... which still would cause a lot of dissatisfaction.

fail :(

jc - as much as i would love to have you as a judge - honestly, because i think you're a very competent person - the 'jury' would need to represent all or at least most of cb, and there's not much of a way to do that unless we start literally putting lists of people down for cliques, haha.
