I'm an amateur sewer and I go on this forum called craftster.org. One there is an amazingly simple pattern (one seam) for a dress. Get this... you can convert it into several different dresses!

I've been meaning to make it for awhile but fabric is just too much. Anyone up to make it with me (eventually)? Ever heard of convertible dresses?

There's a beautiful version by this company but it sells for 300+ dollars.

Would you guys buy one? I think it's a good investment. Or if those who are needle-savvy, would you go make one now?

If done the right way, I think it's a good idea for Bridesmaids dresses.. I like the one from twobirdsbridesmaid. I wouldn't get one just for my own wearing because I would probably only wear it one or two ways.. plus it would get pretty boring, wearing the same fabric every time.
