this is only my second attempt at something like this, so constructive critisicsm would be fantastic.

The red background seems pointless, and doesn't go well
with the fact that the uniforms are red. It looks like a cheap
cut out, so practice cutting out images.

The images are low quality, and the mascot terrifies me. Other than that, I like the setup. (:

i think it's too much red, and i think a better font could have been chosen, but it's not too bad, especially for a second attempt

i'm not sure it's really "too much red" so much as it is too many different hues of red.

the background is more pink than red, the text is a darker version of the same kind of more-pink-than-red colour, and the uniforms in the photos are a brighter and truer red (more on the orange side than the blue side of a standard colour palette). it makes for a pretty messy looking final product.

if you had kept the same hue throughout, and changed the shades of it, it would have come out much better. even with that amount of red.

(note: i'm rusty on my art vocabulary so if i screwed up hues and shades and junk, oops. you get the idea.)

i agree with all of your guys' critisicsm, with one exception.


the images themselves were very high quality. it's what i did to them that makes them look crappy.

it looked alright when i finished, but looking at it again i now realize i need to keep it simpler.

and looking at it again, i do now see there is a crapload of red.

i'll keep these things in mind
