OMGADDDD FREAKING YESSSHHHH biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

i cant wait for this movie. it comes out MAY of 2008 !!!
I have to start reading this books UGHHH. theres probably a bajillion of em now.

But here are the previews.

HD Small
large
Med
small

i think the premise of the movie is they come back to narnia randomly and its been a year since they last been there but in narnia time its 1300 years later. so they are already gone. but they wanna find out what happens to them because they land in ruins as soon as they get to narnia.

but omg the High def preview is soo amazing. its taking me like 15 minutes to fully load the preview but its worth it. SO that means i still havent seen the whole preview.

what do you guys think???

The books were great. I didn't think the movie portrayed it too well though, but maybe this one will be better.

meetooo ! i love fantasy, i didnt even know narnia was the place, i didnt put it together. but yea i guess they come back to it.

this is a question but does anybody know if its the same kids throughout the whole series? im pretty sure not like they have a different story that comes along and replaces the kids, because if they did the whole series those kids would be like 20 years old lol, and like mad rich.

shweet, I'm so going to go see this. I didn't watch the first movie but I always liked the book the Price Caspian.

I hate how they skip around, they should just do every book into a movie shrug.gif Thats what they did forever ago.

It was? I heard from so many people that it was a great movie, but it just didn't seem like anything special to me. I've seen plenty of recreations of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe and I just wasn't in the mood to see another.

Do you mean the cartoon one or the other ones that they did every part of the chronicles of narnia and it was real people?

I've seen the cartoon from the 70s
and I've seen these:

Love the books to death, all of them. Though not a huge fan of the first.

The preview looks good, possibly (hopefully) a bit darker then the first one. Prince Caspian looks yummy. . . i'm excited about this, def will be going to it.

Aren't they going out of order? I don't know. I read the books when I was younger and wore out the old animated ones. I didn't really care for the first one shrug.gif The only good thing was the effects.

They seem to be making them by publishing order.

When HarperCollins took over the series in 1994, the books were renumbered using the internal chronological order, as suggested by Lewis' stepson, Douglas Gresham.

OMFEECKSINGGOD.

That movie made me cry T___T;
During the war scene, when they had to retreat, I cried like a baby.

I've never seen so many mystical creatures die in such a short period of time. I'm emotionally scarred. Fohreals !

Incidentally, or rather on a semi-unrelated note, I had no idea this was coming out until the day it came out.

Yeah, so, against my instinct, I decided to watch it. The music is still excellent, as it was in the LW&W, and Peter + Edmund = still awesome. I thought it followed the book pretty well, but then again, it's been about 7 years since I've read Prince Caspian.

That said, I didn't really like it that much. It wasn't horrible to sit through by far, but I didn't leave thinking "wowowowowooww."

IRONMAN, on the other hand... thumbsup.gif

Same here! The moment I saw who played Prince Caspian, I immediately asked my boyfriend if we could go see it, just so I could have amazing eye candy for two hours.

I haven't seen it yet, although I did get like, five minutes into the movie before my boyfriend's mom interrupted us. So hopefully I'll see it tomorrow on SFC. :)

I really hated the first of the modern movies... I think that, as odd as it may seem, that the high production value hurt it. I tlos tthe innocence of the books.

In the Narnia timeline, it comes between LWW and PC, but can really be taken as a kind of standalone addition to the series... also it would make a poorer film than the others.

I felt like I was the only person that cried at this! The person that went with me kept calling me a sap, lol! Awh, that totally had me going, especially in the middle of the movie. Of course, I had read the book beforehand (although I hadn't finished it), so some of the movie was to be expected.

I was rather impartial to the ending though. Peter and Susan's departure just seemed so... rushed. =\ Maybe its just me. shrug.gif

Ben Barnes was amazing, though. Eye candy in almost everyyy scene! thumbsup.gif

I have. They were 10 times better.

If we're talking about the BBC version, I believe, I honestly don't think so. The graphics were good for the time they were made in, but they just didn't do justice to the books.

I'm in love with the new movies. My seventeenth birthday? Me and a bunch of my friends went to watch Prince Caspian. Of course, I pointed out everything that was different from the book.

The books > The movies
BUT IT'S STILL f**kING AWESOME!
QUOTE
I hate how they skip around, they should just do every book into a movie Thats what they did forever ago.

They are going out of order chronologically, but not the way Lewis wrote them. Lewis wrote The Witch and the Wardrobe as the first of the series, and Prince Caspian as second.

Edmund. <3

And yes, I sobbed when that Minotaur was shot and all the Narnians were stuck in the castle, and they kept shouting "Go on! Save yourself." God, that was heartbreaking. I was like literally lamenting.

Okay totally bringing this thread back from the dead, but I am in love with Ben Barnes because of this movie. His Spanish accent was brilliant, too. William Moseley is also quite attractive.

I watched it twice on the plane and was even inspired by Bemn Barnes to watch the first one, even though he wasn't in it.
