Hey everyone _smile.gif

I have a question for you guys ( mostly just official members) do you guys still think the VIP lounge should stay around? It's really become a dead forum and not much happens there so I thought I would ask _smile.gif Also how would everyone feel if the VIP lounge became a subforum in the lounge?

Thanks.

I would think OM's should have another thing, that distinguishes themselves from "normal" members, if we are going to let the VIP Lounge go public.

^Exactly. Thats why I'm not really seeing the point in having it there, but if it does need to stay then I think it will better fit as a sub forum in the lounge.

The VIP lounge is not going public, well..unless its removed. Although we can simply make it in the subforum of the lounge and still make it only viewable by the OMs.

Also with these changes there is going to be something new for the official members _smile.gif

Nothing, only it will be part of the lounge, instead of on the front forum.

As an example, if you go to myspace support you'll see the myspace resolved topics sub forum on the top, the vip lounge would look like that in the lounge then out on the list of forums.

We gave Mona shit when Jusun turned it into a sub-forum, so why redo that? Why does it matter sitting there? Why is it hurting anything? Why don't you worry about less active forums that all members can actually see, rather than one that a vast majority of cB can't? Why, why, WHY?!

Also, this has nothing to do with the input of other members, so I think the voting would be skewed. Move it to the VIP Lounge, reset the poll, and make it so that only the people it would affect can vote.

Because its mostly a feedback question and everyone can vote for it, yea if the official members want to keep it so badly then they can't vote here along with everyone else _smile.gif

Also no one really uses it anymore and there isn't a point in having it. I think it would look fine as a sub forum and theres people that just think getting rid of it would be fine too.

I'm just throwing it out there of the possibilities of things to do with it because we may be doing something else with the lounge and if anything is going to happen with the VIP lounge I would like to get it done as well _smile.gif

Making all this hype about what "might happen" is not going to aid the decision. Either keep it to yourself or announce it. No one is going to know how this surprise is going to tie everything together, so asking for a decision to be made is asking a bit much.

Why not?

They have the chance and the choice of becoming an official member later so I think they have every right to have a choice in this.

But are they Official Members NOW?

That's like saying every member has the chance of becoming staff so every idea that is brought up should be done. Or since we all have a chance there shouldn't even be a staff. Eh?

I wouldn't really care if there was a staff, but more than likely this place would go down the tubes. And I don't have any control over it anyway, that would be Jusun's call.

No their not OM's now, but in my opinion I think they should still have a choice in it.

Spencer,

Everyone should have the option to vote. Most of the posts made in the feedback section are made by Official or Staff Members. Look at this thread for goodness sake. Jeana is the only person who's not an official member, and the only reason she's not an official member is because it's damn near impossible for her to become on. Just a major contributer to the community.

I believe that everyone has a right to vote. The members who care about the community and it's forums will vote, and those are the votes that matter the most.

i think it should stay the way it is now. i feel that it's only "dead" because the rest of the cb forums are pretty dead.

And if you look at it this way, most of the OMs are older than the average age of cB. It's currently crunch time for all of us at college, so therefore, we won't have as much time for cB. When we DO come on to post, and the VIP lounge hasn't been touched due to the fact that many of us do not come on that often anymore, of course it will appear to be more "dead" than the rest of the forums. After finals and into winter break, I feel that the VIP Lounge will definitely become more alive again.

Why would I participate in something that I never supported? And I don't think it's useless because I never participated, silly, it's for different reasons.

Why would I want to talk to you when you obviously don't want me to even have an opinion?

I'm entitled to post here or anywhere in cB as I like, thank you very
much. The idiot is the one who thinks otherwise.

Anyway, f**k this f**k that. Whatever you guys do, the forum is already there. It's not like it'll kill someone if it gets canned or if it stays. Doesn't matter.

I have no problem with the forum just staying as it is. To me, its just kinda there. I have to agree with the whole "VIP lounge not being active because the other parts aren't active". I think we should work on the other forums being a little more known and the arcade wouldn't hurt. wink.gif
