Sooooo, let's get this Designers' Cafe more designery.

What's a style of graphic design (or I suppose art in general) that you wish you were better at?

I'll probably come back and edit, but I'd have to collages... like those really cool big ones. Whenever I try they look messy and cheesy.

All of these things could be done with practice. I wish I had the natural talent of looking at pictures, and figuring out what to edit to make them look phenomenal.

I wish I could do a vexel OR vector.

Line art amazes me. It's very subtle but very precise. I wish I had a steady hand and a better eye (and better software. I lost Illustrator a while back).

I have a Wacom and I really should get to learning how to use it.

Two years ago I was browsing Createblog looking enviously at all the talent I didn't have. Now I'm here adding my work to the fantastic stuff that's here already. Just goes to show you really don't have to wish, just get out there and start doing.

Vector/Vexel.... I've always wanted to learn how to do that.
Also, I want to get better with the pen tool... Like as good as Mona - she's amazing.

She [Mona] really is. She's part of the reason why I'm so fascinated right now with lineart (and wanting to learn different techniques with the pen tool).

Free hand stuff, as well as vectoring in illustrator, but I guess that somewhat falls under free hand haha. Designs in general, usually I get really stumped when it comes to coming up with a design.

I wish I could do collages better, I do more ethereal designs and I would definatly want to get better at vectors. My friend Ashley is SO kickass at vectoring and she does some of the greatest art I've seen.

I wanna get into Illustrator, like every pro is. But every single time I open it up, I feel .. lost. cry.gif I really need to find some extra time, and will, to read up on some tutorials for it. Soon.

I also wanna learn to make hardcore photo manips. Like that object shattering effect which I've ALWAYS wanted to learn ..

I'd definitely want to get better at vectoring and being able to use the pen tool better. I've used the pen tool roughly 2-3 times, and I couldn't get the hang of it. Also, I never attempted vectoring seeing as though it looks extremely complicated, and requires lots of patience (and I don't have any of it). Oh, and I would also want to learn how to create flash layouts. :T And maybe photo manipulations as well.
